Oh look, it's Hunter.
Player showcase game, cough, cough. Don't be surprised if he gets a lot of shots up.

Everything else looks fine from him. Hopefully it's just a slump but it looks pretty bad
The cure for a 3 pointer slump is shooting from 12 feet.

Yeah, we're winning the championship . . . as long as the world don't blow up first.
And the Hawks are 2 minutes from securing the 1st NBA championship banner for Atlanta.....

JJ is highlighting the JC vs JJ comparison. Showing the things JC couldn't do and at 1/6 the price.

So the low down on JJ 2 years later.
JJ's college numbers reflected him nursing injuries through his one season. There were really only 2 games he was healthy enough to play 30 minutes. This is why he was a relatively unknown coming out of college. In those 2 games (vs Coppin St and Pitt) he averaged
21.5 ppg, 17.5 rpg, 6 apg, 4 bpg, 1 spg. He spent most of that freshman year injured.
At College park he started 12 games and averaged:
20.1 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 4.1 apg, 37.5% from 3.
There is no reason not to believe that if given starter minutes he can't average 15/8/3 and 35% from 3.
Nate was a terrible fit. Nate prefers guards, prefers vets, prefers simple basketball. Snyder is a very good fit. He prefers movement, versatility and keeping the ball moving (both offense/defense). The problem with JJ is he makes it look too easy some times. The kid has star written all over him and he needs to get those minutes.

Here's the play from the worst angle. There is a back angle I'm looking for which shows him throwing his legs left. What you want to look at here is his launch spot on the floor. You'll see Lundy lands to the left of that but Williams spreads his legs out trying to catch Lundy with his left leg.

Honestly, the ref should've called a tech foul on Lundy, for landing in the shooters jump space.
But we'll take the preseason victory.
Yes
No, the shooter kicked his legs to the side to make it look like it. Lundy was going through the side

Miles Norris is rough.
-
There he is.
-
Lundy needs to start exploiting that he looks like someone who could have been a pirate. He's an eyepatch and cutlass short of being the next Jack Sparrow.

How does our offense look overall?
more player and ball movement?…is Trae moving off ball a little more ?
Much more. 3 catch and shoot 3s. 2 catch and drives off curls. Using DJ and JJ up top and 3 past the elbows as initiators. Some missed bunnies/free throws tonight are the only real complaints.
