  1. Well that's some underhanded passive aggressiveness on your part. AHEM, I was, am and will forever be against tanking. I firmly aligned with KB21 back in the day and endured every arrow volley he inspired. JJ is being featured in College Park, which he isn't ready for. But he most certainly could be 2nd/3rd option on the second unit as a slasher, shooter, energy guy. I am 100% convinced Gallo isn't going to be here next year and so I'm all for seeing what I've got going forward. I don't see TLC as the answer and would have been perfectly happy giving his minutes to JJ. Exactly how many games did TLC win us this year? How many quality minutes did Solomon Hill's 15.4% from 3, 15% FG% overall provide? The dude played 140 minutes this year. That was some really lazy shade throwing there. You're better than that. But Camp, "When we're connected, we're as good as anyone!!!" Please. Let's get the rooks connected 10 minutes a game each.
  2. This is that moment where I make a few enemies on the squawk. I haven't felt good about this season since 3 games in. If negative emotions affect outcomes, I can be as much to blame as anyone about this season. I've nitpicked endlessly the things we do that make us "not" a championship contender. I haven't been able to stop, believe me I've tried. The one thing that's kept me going, focused all season is the hopes to see JJ and Cooper get some development time with the big club. IE, before the season started, I was looking forward to next year, future Hawks years with Jalen developed and playing next to Trae and Cooper leading the bench mob. I'm as guilty as anyone to why the season hasn't turned out the way we've hoped. You get back from the universe what you put in to it and I haven't been putting out championship vibes. So come trade deadline, 1 thought, 1 hope percolating in the back of my noggin. Who is heading out to free up time for the rooks? Wrong, I know but its been there since my post Christmas haze. Trying to refocus but its still there. I'm feeling this non-consolidation at the deadline is going to keep Johnson off the 10 man rotation and will lead to his disappointment with the franchise in the future. Nobody in Squawkland is more disappointed by yesterday than me. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling the same way. I'll be 100% on board come playoff time, I promise but yesterday stung a bit.
  3. Okay forget the player's names for a second. 32 year old combo guard, top 10 nba player, MVP level player. for 25 year old 4 position player, DOPY candidate, MVP candidate + 44% 3PT sharp shooter + legit 7 footer - 4 time former rebounding champion and 2 1st round picks with only 1 with protections 1-8. This is the stuff of Biblical stories. Morey held out for that deal. He gave up arguably the best backup center in the NBA this season, one of the best shooters in the NBA, 2 1st rounders and Ben Simmons for a 32 year old with an injury history and a history of disgruntledness???
  4. OMG!!! Morey never even used his safe word, k.y. or protection?????? Adrian Wojnarowski: The Nets will get the Sixers’ 2022 first-round pick unprotected with a right to defer until 2023 and a 2027 first-round pick protected 1-to-8, sources tell ESPN. The 2027 pick would roll over to 2028 protected 1-to-8 again. The pick turns into two seconds and $2M in 2029. 3 mins ago – via Twitter wojespn
  5. Okay @NBASupes, let Woj be a lesson in how its done. Dude was more wrong that @Spud2nique in spandex. Was saying for 48 hours Philly Brooklyn was a nothing burger, then boom reported it like he was down with the sickness all along and comes back with . Ignore the noise and pretend you were right all along....just like Woj. Note to Woj, he could have just read the squawk this week and gotten his details here.
  6. Its all minor stuff. Teams trying to get Wright/Dieng....We aren't as active as in the past because of salary constraints. We're a much tougher trade fit. Nothing worth board time when its more likely than not they don't do it or it won't be life altering.
  7. The problem with people measuring this trade is they don't understand the effect Simmons has on the defensive end of the floor. My goodness, the idea of them getting that much better at the center position (they had nothing there) and adding Simmons defensively, they just got miles better on that end of the floor. How the "F" are you going to double Durant now? Curry sniping, Drummond alone, Ben cutting and oh yah, they can play defense now. If Ben plays and they get a good attitude out of Kyrie/Drummond, I don't care their seed. They are now the best team in the East. They are so freaking big now. So long.
  8. So with that domino finally falling, our resources are now finally freed up. I now expect to see a minor move or two.
  9. They are really going to miss the spacing Curry provides and Drummond off the bench.
  10. Oh man are they gonna regret that. They are one injury away from meaningless.
  11. Kev is 23 and still maturing....yes he's not only worth it but will be 27 at the end of that contract and will look like a bargain at that time. By the time the deal is done, the cap will be closer to $140-$150 million (at least) with the new tv contract. Yes, he's very good value at that price. In 23-24, Joe Harris will make $19.9 million. He's averaging 11.2 ppg this year. He will be 32 that season. Harris is the better 3 point shooter. Harris needs screens to be effective. In 23-24, Huerter will make $$15.57 million. He's averaging 11.5 ppg this year. He will be 25 that season. Kevin is a better defender, creator, ball handler. Yes, Huerter is a very good value trade wise.
  12. Do not talk to my boss about me....please!!! Woj has been the only claiming this is a nothing burger. IMHO, he's providing cover for the league.
  13. 1. Crazy on Cam seeing as LA was the original trade partner but LA under offered at 2 2nds. Will be interesting to see what if anything they give up to get Cam. Also curious if Thibbs is out after this year. He threw a major tantrum. 2. First I've heard that. Interesting. 3. They've always been willing to do this. Hard part is finding the piece that is a needle mover. As great as Trae is, its about fit. There are certain things he needs around him (big agile center mostly). Like the greatest fit ever would be prime AD but that ship has sailed. Will be interesting to see what percolates today. I usually get text bombs by about noon on deadline day. 4. Nobody knows what Morey is doing and Atlanta has had the patience of Job in this. If it were me, I would have packed up the sandbox a month ago. I know their available trade package flexibility has narrowed considerably after the junk Morey pulled.
  14. Satoransky moved a 2nd time. Feb. 9: Jazz acquire players in a three-team trade Utah Jazz get: Nickeil Alexander-Walker Juancho Hernangomez San Antonio Spurs get: Tomas Satoransky Second-round pick Portland Trail Blazers get: Joe Ingles Elijah Hughes Second-round pick also Miami Heat get 2026 second-round pick Oklahoma City Thunder get: KZ Okpala
  15. and finally someone asks the $54 dollar question. A 3 way is possible, yes but unlikely. The Nets would love someone that gives them what Joe Harris was giving them before the injury. If OO, JC, Huerter were on the table for Simmons, another player from Philly with the Nets getting our 3, yes its really possible. They love OO energy/defense. I'm not saying this happens but in order for Brooklyn/Philly to finally commit, they might have to try a 3 way....ba dum bump tss.
  16. Honest question: If something is brewing and we can't give any details, would you want to know? IE: Something's brewing but I can't say anything yet.....yay or nay?
  17. Hawks' nation Friday morning learning that they didn't make a trade for "insert your favorite player name here".
  18. She might be a big ugly ho, but tonight, she's my big ugly ho!!!
  19. This directly conflicting crap from the "experts" being linked on the same "experts" site and you fools get mad at @NBASupes for not being right 100% of the time and not letting you know 3 days in advance. SMDH!!!
  20. I spoke about doing my due diligence. Something was mentioned to me once and something didn't sound right about it. I went back and looked at it and it didn't fit cap wise. The player was traded to someone else the next day. Told my guy and he messaged me like 3 hours later....."sorry man, I think I got played". Its more like "Magic beans. Jack, go back and get the cow!"
  21. So many of these leaked deals are just to hold another team's feet to the fire. If a Hawk is linked, it doesn't mean there is a real deal, its just teams trying to motivate other teams.
  22. Okay details are now dropping: Nets want Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey in potential Harden-Simmons trade Jordan Schultz: League sources: #Nets have asked #Sixers for both Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey to be included in a potential James Harden – Ben Simmons trade. Brooklyn also has tangible interest in sharpshooting guard Seth Curry, a career 44 percent 3-point shooter. 10 mins ago – via Twitter Schultz_Report Top Rumors, Trade, Ben Simmons, James Harden, Matisse Thybulle, Seth Curry, Tyrese Maxey, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers This rumor is part of a storyline: 679 more rumors Appearing on ESPN’s Get Up, Brian Windhorst said things are “trending” in the direction of the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers working out a deal: “The teams are absolutely engaged in trade discussions. I know that there’s people saying things on the record, trying to act like that’s not happening, but it is absolutely happening. There is definite motivation from both sides to make this fall into place. The Sixers were out there yesterday having trade negotiations with other teams looking to clear roster spots, looking to move other players on their roster—including Tobias Harris—in what looks like ancillary moves to support a James Harden arrival.” 10 mins ago – via Adam Wells @ Bleacher Report Trade, Ben Simmons, James Harden, Matisse Thybulle, Seth Curry, Tyrese Maxey, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers
  23. He'd walk in to play just about anywhere in order to save face. If he went somewhere else and didn't suit up, it would be very hard to sell himself to a team in the future. Playing for your new team is very much about image rebuilding.
