  1. Well one of those players is in the lane all the time anyway....but Ben's game is based on movement. See the 15 second mark. but then watch the whole video. He's just very sneaky at getting himself ready to finish. He's kind of the ultimate bail out player when things on a play go wrong. He can make a bad play go right.
  2. So Simmons off ball isn't a shooter but is a back door cut/slash to the basket nightmare both as a receiver of the pass and a decision maker once accepting the pass. In the current scheme, our shooters stay on the perimeter with only Hunter being a real threat on the backdoor cut. Gallo is a statue without the ball (dude is pretty stiff) Huerter, BB lack the raw athleticism to be a real threat in that scenario. Defensively, wings can play tight on our shooters in the pick n roll because they'd rarely be beat going in. Simmons brings a lot of movement during pick n roll situations that would force defensive rotations, leaving shooters more open. On defense, Simmons changes passing lanes and creates double team opportunities for the guards to execute as he's there to disrupt passes out of the double team. Its a really solid fit as long as we keep at least 2 shooters on the floor at all times. Simmons without the ball moves a lot like Korver used to but instead of running through screens and moving out he's dragging people around and cutting.
  3. I think you have to think what happened to Ben. The passed on shot was a bad choice but Simmons explained that he thought Gallo was right on his hip and would have blocked it from behind. But his coach, the best player on the team, the media all turned on him for a few short days. Imagine this scenario. You get called into HR with a final warning. Your wife and mother, the 2 people that are supposed to have your back, start telling people they don't know if the wife will divorce you if you lose your job and the mother says she isn't sure if you'll be invited for Thanksgiving if you lose your job. How would you feel? Would you ever be able to trust your wife has your back or be able to look at your mom the same way again. They didn't even say it to you, they said it to your friends, on FB, Twitter and in a TikTok video. They don't discuss your shortcomings, they just leave it out in the open that if you don't perform, you aren't family. How do you feel? That is what happened to Simmons. He'd been building for this moment for 4 years, waiting for a chance to play for a championship and when he had a moment of failure, his coach and teammates turned on him, ever so briefly.
  4. So I saw this snippet yesterday, giggled a bit and although the other thread is closed, thought it appropriate to share and to what level of credence anyone should accept any rumor. Two competing stories on the front page of Yahoo News. One saying the Kings are interested, one saying the Kings are not on the same trade. 1 from HoopsHype, 1 from NBC.
  5. This feels like tampering to me? Daryl Morey: There are deals with the Kings that I think would work There has been a lot of talks recently about Simmons and the Kings, specifically when it comes to De’Aaron Fox, but there is no guarantee that a deal gets done despite Morey’s connection with Kings GM Monte McNair. Morey on that situation: I can tell you that for sure, there are deals with the Sacramento Kings that I think would work. Will those deals ever happen? I have no idea. Are there just trade deals with the Kings? Probably not. Is it multiple teams? Probably, but for sure there are deals that are possible that would go over our line. 5 mins ago – via Ky Carlin @ Sixers Wire Top Rumors, Daryl Morey, Monte McNair, Trade, Ben Simmons, De'Aaron Fox, Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings This rumor is part of a storyline: 5 more rumors
  6. Per Sportsnaut, no! But neither is Ben Simmons (I believe he's closer to 25-30 range). https://sportsnaut.com/best-nba-players-right-now/ 50. Jerami Grant, forward, Detroit Pistons 49. Gordon Hayward, forward, Charlotte Hornets 48. Christian Wood, center, Houston Rockets 47. Kyle Lowry, Miami Heat 46. Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors 45. Miles Bridges, Charlotte Hornets 44. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, guard, Oklahoma City Thunder 43. Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers After the Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated from the playoffs, Ben Simmons trade rumors were rampant after his dreadful performance against the Atlanta Hawks. Quotes from Doc Rivers and Joel Embiid only fueled the former All Star’s desire to be traded from the team leading to a holdout that he eventually ended. There has been a lot of drama surrounding these trade rumors including Simmons reporting to practice only to be kicked out for not participating. Sixers’ GM Daryl Morey has made it known that he will not just trade Ben for anyone saying he wants equitable compensation in return. The chances of Simmons stepping back on the court in a Sixers jersey seems unlikely but not impossible. 42. Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves 41. De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings 40. 9. Hawks: So Mr. Morey, we'd like a Ben Simmons, hold the crazy and a side of cap relief. Daryl Morey puts on a paper McDonald's hat, turns and says "Would you like to Super Size that?" True story, Hawks negotiations in action.
  10. Minor issues with this rumor. The salaries differ by 5.3 million. Now although the trade works salary wise, The suggested trade would have put the Hawks into the LT by a smidge less than 4 million, something they had no intention of doing. Collins was brought up by Philly, not Atlanta for reasons related to Reddish but not sending Reddish to Philly. Philly had concerns about Reddish. Harris' name was brought up by Philly as a way of fostering a bigger trade to rid themselves of both big salaries and Reddish would have gone to the hypothetical 3rd team as a sweetener to take Harris, who in turn would have sent salary back to even things out. Philly was trying to expand the deal to Atlanta sending out Collins, Bogi, Gallo, Reddish, getting back Simmons and filler (big contract to offset). Hypothetically speaking it was a mess and rejected. The reporter has a good bit of the pieces of the rumor but not the actual rumor.
  11. Hmm...the above is taken from this article. Its a good read on the nuances of trades. https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/nba-trade-rumors-league-intel-caris-levert-myles-turner-john-collins-2022?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=mattmoore
  12. These orchestrated types of leaks are what teams use to see if there will be fan uproar if they trade certain players. It means they've been discussed in deals, but the team isn't sure what fan reaction will be. Its a public focus group if you will. Hawks willing to engage in trade talks for John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic 39 mins ago – via Matt Moore @ Action Network Two sources told Action Network Collins is a player the Hawks are willing to engage in talks about, along with Bogdan Bogdanovic. 13. Antis is exchanged for BNB on metamask. I've been using poocoin but pancake swap or straight exchange through Metamask works. Hina through the same but its on the etherium network.
  14. So there are 2 wonky newish Cryptos out there I'm tentatively optimistic about. Its a gimmick but has some real earning potential right now. The first token is Antis Inu (https://antisinu.com/). Its a month old, well thought out meme coin. Its not overtaking anything any time soon but its so new in the space its a pretty good low risk high reward project. They boomed at open and fell back now to a pretty cheap buy in price. I'm holding about 3 million coins. End of next week they are bridging to Etherium and expect to have a decent run up. Looks like a decent opportunity. The second is Hina Inu(https://www.realhinainu.com/), another meme coin thats been around a while longer. They're in some pack arrangement with other new inu tokens. The kicker here is they're going to be listing on bigger exchanges in a month or two (milestone is 1st quarter 2022). Going on the mid sized exchanges always leads to a run up. I'm holding like 450 billion (which isn't but like $50). Just thought I'd pass it along.
  15. I think they're in a tossing mud against the wall portion of the exercise. Just seeing if anything sticks. Tossing out lots of names to see if others are open to trading people, open to their guys.
  16. When you look at Drummond's 1.67 million, that's a kind of steal for what they get (we're paying Dieng 3 times that much for 1/2 the ability). He's a nice throw in there and its not as "ridiculous" as it appears at first. Draymond Green is wildly overpaid for his production, but admittedly Wiggins/Poole/Kuminga is a nice trio. The 2 firsts will not be top 20...its Golden State.
  17. In a perfect world they'd waive him and we could sign him for the min as a rental.
  18. I agree, but was throwing it out there since he was linked to be available. Pretty much that is what it would take salary wise.
  19. Partly true. Al's salary is non-guaranteed next year with a reduced buyout (like Gallo's) with $14.5 million in buyout.
  20. Would you move Gallo to do it if it brought back Dennis too? http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ydgxbler Also...FYI As for which scenario is looking the most likely, I’ll say this much: While I’m fairly confident that Atlanta has zero interest in taking on both Simmons and Harris in a John Collins-centric deal, the Kings appear to be considering the idea more seriously. 40 mins ago – via Sam Amick, David Aldridge, John Hollinger @ The Athletic Trade, Ben Simmons, John Collins, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings
  21. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/charles-barkley-criticizes-sixers-being-214723143.html So I talked about media types being told things and them having a good by date. The above is a perfect example. In his take, Sir Charles asserts there are "Good Deals" out there for Ben. I'll assume these are the 4 I was told are out there (was asked yesterday about the teams and we all know about Sac, Det, but few may know that the Clippers have explored something fairly complicated). Anyway, Charles knows the deals (he's tight in the Philly community) and almost blabbed about it. See below: "There’s some good trades out there, but the Sixers are being stubborn and wasting Joel Embiid’s great season. They’re just being stupid. Just being stupid." Not only does he know details of the deals but he obviously has a favorite that he thinks would push them over the top, based on his comment.
  22. Media reports say Washington is the most likely landing spot for Grant and I'd have to agree. It just makes too much sense.
