  1. LOL, I listened to the podcast (skimmed) and listened to the bit about Cam. Interesting note was when the guy not in the know mentioned them not like the intel, the other guy confirmed it. The Intel was the same stuff I've been saying. Didn't cooperate with LP, wanted more shots, more features. Wanted 1v1 opportunities and only wanted to play D when it was Cam disrupting his man. I'm not crapping on him, just laying out what it is. He was interested in his next contract and didn't feel he could justify a good contract being 4th banana in a 4 wing rotation. Solo getting minutes over him seems to have been the start of it.
  2. Aside from the minor problem of JC trying to take his head off last playoffs, they are a perfect 1/2 in the front court. Assuming there is no bad blood, the in out game of Embiid/JC would be devastating. Yes we've discussed 1/3 of our team, no not at the same time.
  3. OO at the 4 is what I've been saying since last year. He needs a consistent jumper to do that though.
  4. Just the work ethic stuff, ignoring coaches...that sort of thing. I don't think the podcast goes into detail. I would agree with you but there is a bigger story to be told here and will be tied to us for a while being the 2nd half of the Luka deal.
  5. Cavs didn't love the intel on Cam Reddish Chris Fedor: I was told that though the Cavs had expressed interest in Cam Reddish in the past, and they checked in on his availability with the Atlanta Hawks… one thing that I’m told from a source is that the intel that they got back was not flattering when it came to Cam Reddish. 4 hours ago – via Spotify Top Rumors, Trade, Cam Reddish, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks Its starting to come out.
  6. Sarah K. Spencer: Kevin Knox is listed as “not with team” on most recent Hawks injury report: pic.twitter.com/rcyNn5ljYg 1 min ago – via Twitter sarah_k_spence Kevin Knox, Atlanta Hawks Because yah, he'd fly down, suit up and play without a practice??? He might play but the injury report comes out the day before....of course he wasn't with the team and seeing the official team doctor....OY! with modern reporters....OY!
  7. Also can't exceed roster spots in the trade so a 4 for 1 doesn't really work if they have to waive 3 people to do it.
  8. The defense video. Its a highlight video so he looks good but watch those feet. Kid needs some footwork on D...lots of work.
  9. https://sports.yahoo.com/three-winners-cam-reddish-trade-140011062.html Atlanta gets to take a free look at Knox before he hits the market. Also, by trading Hill, the Hawks open up a roster spot, giving them options heading into the trade deadline and buyout season. Buyout season being the key. There will be some talent as teams trade and buyout players. Atlanta could find a gem. That roster spot is not worthless.
  10. that's a 2 part question. 1. What's the chances that Ben Simmons is traded by Feb 10th? A) better than 75% (IMHO from what I know). 2. What are the chances that if he's traded, its to the Hawks? A) given what we know now, about 1 in 3. There are teams that are hovering on this but the fit is really difficult. Think of it like a puzzle. 1)To get Ben, you have to give up Ben money (everyone but OKC). 2) To get Ben, you have to have pieces Philly wants that you're willing to give up that equal Ben money (about 5-7 teams). 3) To get Ben, you have to see him as a fit (everyone can use him, he's that useful). 4) To get Ben, you have to believe he'll be happy there.......and that's the rub.
  11. Is it weird that of all the things that irk me about this trade, this is the only part that makes me mad? Bobby Marks: Added details on the Cam Reddish trade to New York Atlanta sent New York $834,589. The cash sent is reflective of what is owed to Solomon Hill. New York created a small $1.17M trade exception. 4 hours ago – via Twitter BobbyMarks42 Bobby Marks, Trade, Cam Reddish, Solomon Hill, Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks
  12. To be frank, I know we lost some but I don't know the difference to why some are here and some aren't.
  13. 30/70 he's retraded. Its possible but his value is pretty low until he shows out a bit. More likely this is a 4 month tryout.
  14. Exactly that or more often than not losing his man and trailing on the initial screen. He's really late to react on the crossover, screen and it puts things in motion. He gets caught reaching a lot.
  15. Before we migrated the board there were some pretty ridiculously long threads.
  16. This I'll buy. My biggest culprit here is Bogie. BB loses his man often forcing bad rotations and we all know Trae's challenges on defense.
  17. Just because you can't see the Matrix, doesn't mean its not there.
  18. Actually I made a post to be funny to lighten the mood. I've made plenty defending you too! I'm an equal opportunity clown.
  19. Naw but to be fair to Hunter, his 2021-22 sample is askew due to the early season ref conspiracy with Trae and the early injuries. If we look at just 19 and 20 Hunter, Hunter is +4.5/100 OTRG and -3 DTRG. Scheme plays a part in this but Hunter = better per this 2 year sample. The point isn't Knox>Cam. The point is neither is the type of Impact that say Capela/Collins are. Statistically, they both measure an extremely similar impact. Look at Gallo's numbers and how they've regressed over those 3 years impact wise to where he's nearly a net zero player. Last year in OKC he had impact similar to Collins. Its just not getting all bent out of shape about in the short term. My point has been simple. If Cam's been the beneficiary of Trae and Knox has been on the losing end with Tibbs, then this really isn't as bad as the Cam Stans make it out to be. I like Cam, wanted him here the whole time but I was also very realistic about his potential vs performance. I want to see Knox play 10 games for the Hawks before I claw my eyes out and declare this the worst Hawks trade of all time.
  20. To be fair to the Hawks, if I'm paying you $4 million/year to play a kids game, I expect you to follow the coach's game plan and follow the training staff's work out plan.
  21. Dude, you've seen the training videos of me and the dog. You can't see that photo and think I don't like any food (okay not a fan of Indian).
  22. Me: I like potato chips Supes: So you hate cheeseburgers then. Me: no, let me say it again. I like potato chips and I like Mello Yello. Supes: How the hell do you hate ice cream? Me: dude, I like ice cream too. Supes: "Ha so you do hate cheeseburgers!"
  23. Not at all, but what I'm saying is from "team" vantage point vs media spin or playing time vantage point, their impact on winning is negligible at best.
  24. For poops and snickers. A few more players, same time frame so you can see the impact difference. And before you say "but its a team game" notice the players who share the floor with Collins/Capela vs their ratings. Gallo OTRG 2019 - 120 2020 - 118 2021 - 123 DTRG 2019 - 111 2020 - 114 2021 - 116 Huerter OTRG 2019 - 107 2020 - 112 2021 - 109 DTRG 2019 - 116 2020 - 115 2021 - 117 Hunter OTRG 2019 - 100 2020 - 119 2021 - 97 DTRG 2019 - 117 2020 - 114 2021 - 117 Capela OTRG 2019 - 124 2020 - 125 2021 - 127 DTRG 2019 - 105 2020 - 106 2021 - 108 OTRG 2019 - 124 2020 - 125 2021 - 127 DTRG 2019 - 112 2020 - 112 2021 - 113
  25. It happened but wasn't as bad as the team made it out to be. Basically it was a benching while he got in better basketball shape. Kid was in shape but needed work on his body. You can see the difference if you look at photos of him preseason last year and preseason this year.
