My thoughts on the game so far

Good..

1.ZaZa-Good offensive player and and hits the offensive

boards well.

2.Joe had a solid first period.

3.Smoove's jumper looks good

4.The offense flowed good until Tyrone Lue comes in.

5.Nice Spurt from Marvin

6.Team is good at getting steals

bad...

1.Childress looks aweful on both ends of the floor. I don't

think Chill can defend many skilled SG's.

2.The Lack of good big men on the defensive end will make

it tough to stay in alot of games this year.

3.Tyrone Lue kills the offensive flow.. He likes to dribble

way too much.

4.Defense

5.Smoove needs to be alittle more active on the defensive

end.

6. I dislike John Edwards already.

also Al has looked outstanding but what's up with his knee? Not a good sign. He looks like me when my tendinitis flares up. not good

edwards still fails to impress

zaza still is exceeding expectations

jj is still a top 10 pg

chill had some steals and other good plays, so he's not play horribly

jj needs to play 40mpg at pg for us to win >30 games...lue won't cut it

i don't like when woody does the mini-me backcourt

go with jj/slim, lue/jj, lue/chill, slim/chill but not lue/slim

i wanna see more of batman...let him get under murphy's skin in the 2nd half

I dissagree... He's been an embarassment on defense so

far.... Doesn't appear to have quick feet on defense

and doesn't recover very well. He probably needs to

defend the less athletic guy at the 2 or 3.

yeah lue just dribbles and dribbles and likes to penetrate and dish and make a difficult pass...

many times i see him should just pass off to the guy open on the perimeter when he's penetrating...

does he never see those people?

I remember him saying when Jason passed ....that he was supposed to be his pick & roll/pop partner off of the bench....so I suspect that is the plan for Lue...he did run an awful lot of pick and roll with ZaZa...thats why it seems like he dribbles too much.

in the league that I wouldn't mind seeing him have a

career ending injury. Always hated that guy.

Basically I expect us to show that we can hang with pretty much any team in the league. What will determine our record is

-do we keep having stretches like this one where we just get killed?

-can we win games that are roughly tied with 2 minutes to go?

Being as green as we are, I'm not expecting too many W's, but boy are we fun to watch when we get running

Game is going just like I expected....we will probably make a run cut it close again...then fall apart again in the 4th.

are going to have good games, but you can't give up

baskets to the likes of Fisher and paleface Dunleavy.

I cannot stand Lue. This guy should not be running our team at the point. I think we are worse off with him in there then we are when he is on the bench.

they dont play as a team it seems...its either one-on-one or something simple like... a pick and roll...

u see a lot of people standing around and not moving and the ball isn't changing hands a lot...

PASS THE BALL COME ON PLEASE...movement play as a team and play defense...get involved!!!

I am impressed with Zaza. I like what he brings to the team.

I am hoping this is only first game jitters but the lane is open all night. The Warriors can get to the basket at will with no challenges.

There is absolutely no boxing out. WHat is up with that.

Childress was the worst player on teh floor tonight. He is just getting eaten alive out there tonight. He passed up some open shots too. I hope this won't continue.

I Like JJ. I just don't know if he is a pg. Time will tell. Marvin looked pretty good too. He has a bright future. Al made some nice baskets in the first half.

Lue is trying to do way too much. He just needs to calm down and distrbute the ball.

We need another big man to play PF. One that is going to rebound, post up and play interior defence. That is our biggest missing piece.

I was not impressed with the first half either. The Warriors were making a lot of mistakes and missing A LOT of free throws. Defence needs to improve now or this could be another long season.

It is the first game and it is on the road.

Well, Josh Smith is a slacker. He often comes out there

and does nothing and doesn't even make an effort like

in the rookie game last year when he often walked around

doing nothing.

I think by midseason JJ will already be thinking what

Al was thinking by the end of last year. Al has a chance

to get out of it, but JJ might have made a career mistake.
