Gray Mule
ZZZZZZZZZ SLEEPWALK !!!! Stumbled around. Could find nothing that would work. The longer it went on, the worse it got. Then, the second half, Hawks played like they were in a daze. It got worse. So far down, they had to look up to see bottom. This team they were playing was so far ahead it was pitiful. AND, THEY HAD THREE PLAYERS OUT!! Despite all this, they were burying the Hawks, ready to throw the last shovel full of dirt on the coffin. Then, amazingly, these Hawks snapped out of it. They awoke from this almost terminal SLEEPWALK that had put them so deep in the hole. Only the clock saved the Hornets !!! A comeback !! Was it ever !! Shots began to fall. The 3 pointers, which we expected from this team and which had been absent since the season began, suddenly emerged from hibernation, giving the Hawks a tiny spark of hope. Players began to hustle, to move into position and to grab rebounds and play some full court, shutdown defense. The ball continued to find it's mark for a team that for 3 1/2 quarters slept. The Hawks began to rain threes and they were hitting them! Wow! What a finish. But, alas, the clock was our greatest enemy and the Hawks were just too far back when this great rally began. This Hawk team that we saw in the last half of the last quarter is the team we want. They were doing what we expected our team to do from the beginning. If we could play all the time like that, Hawks would win a lot of games. We desperately need those 3 point scores on our side of the ledger. We need that type of pressure and hustle that was displayed to end the game against the Hornets. Last night, these Hawk players proved that they are capable of playing this game of NBA basketball. For some reason, they can't make it work for the entire game, just for a short period of time only. Did we learn something last night that just might turn this ship around and head it toward victory lane? I sure hope so. This coming up short every time is getting this old man down. GO HAWKS!!! WAKE UP AND LIVE !!!!
shock
the hawks really never "woke up". Salim single handedly brought us back into that game. I give him and only him the credit, no one else is deserving of it.

Gray Mule
Yes they did. True, he was the force behind the awakening of the team. The others began to hustle and play defense. He didn't do it all alone. He was the big reason for the awakening. But, without the strong finishing kick from the others on the floor, nothing happenes. Seems the others could have shown a lot more life before Salim gave the "Wake Up" call with what he did. Whether or not you agree with me, it was great to see !! Go Hawks !!! jpierrek
IT SEEMS LIKE THE TEAM DOESN'T CARE ABOUT WINNING LIKE THEY REALLY DONT BELIEVE IN WOODY AND BK AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
