Premium Member Diesel Posted December 20, 2005 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 20, 2005 Seems like Woody is not going to play him.. I say deal him. There are a few teams with players who are unhappy who we could possibly deal Delk to. His expiring contract could mean cap relief for somebody. Moderators macdaddy Posted December 20, 2005 Moderators Report Share Posted December 20, 2005 Is he even suiting up? Does anybody have a scoop on this?
Packfill
Delk is not very good, the Hawks will be lucky to get anything for him. There are dozens of identical players (undersized two guards) that can be had.
DJlaysitup
My question is...why even bother with Delk? Unless it's a deal just to help him out. Let his contract expire and suck up the cap room for next year. We wouldn't likely get anything of value anyway - unless he has minor value as a throw in on some trade. Employee8
What About Miami? You want a serviceable big man in Doleac in exchange? the miami bench could use some more offensive firepower which Delk provides....
vdunkndunk
Right now Delk is a major trade asset -- he's an expiring contract that could be an add-in to make salaries match if necessary. I don't think he'll be dealt on his own until it becomes clear we don't need him to facilitate a larger trade. Or we might just let his contract expire for the cap room.
