Premium Member Diesel Posted January 11, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 11, 2006 Nah. Most teams have coaches that can coach defense enough. Al looks really good. A guy that can create his own shot and get you 20/7/3 with ~45% shooting from the field and from three while playing PF. That certainly looks good to established or losing teams with better coaching than we have. The question is what kind of SNT deals will we see? If BK can make a good C or a PG happen, I will take back all those things I said about him.... However, BK is calculating... He knows that we have to get out the lottery. He knows that Al is going to ride us until the end. He knows that everybody wins in a SNT and if teams are hesitant to give us the good, we can just Sign Al to a reasonable contract and trade him later. WE hold all the cards. We gave up great picks for flawed players like Glenn Robinson, Lorezen Wright and (to a lesser extent) Shareef Abdur-Rahim. BK would take a lottery pick like those involved in those trades. and my point is just because our GMs have been dumb enough to make those deals doesn't mean some other team's will.
