Premium Member Diesel Posted January 16, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 Tony Delk + 2nd round pick 2006 to Milwaukee For Dan Gadzuric. He's already signed to a nice contract. He's never going to play worth the money with Bogut/Magloire being there. Our 2nd rounder will be just like a late first rounder. We get them out of the contract. Delk can actually help with the ball handling duties..
Packfill
The Bucks have zero need for Delk with Ford and Williams already on board.
tmac13
I don't think the Bucks move Gadz until they know what Magloire's plans are..
exodus
I was asking Bucks fans about Gadz earlier in the year and they seem to think Maqloire is a rental until Bogut gets more experience. They think Gadz is going to be there and Jamal will hit the road.
Premium Member Diesel Posted January 16, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 Magloire is not a free agent until next year. Some think he will goto Toronto.. However, Toronto is not holding their breath...
Premium Member Diesel Posted January 16, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 Well, Getting Delk is all about Capspace. PLUS, they get a high 2nd round pick. Moreover, Mo Williams play more like a SG than a PG.
Ralph
Do you really think getting Gadzuric would be better than having Pachulia? We need to bring in Howard Eisley and see what happens.
Packfill
They still have Ford!
Premium Member Diesel Posted January 16, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 Normally, three good PGs is not a bad thing. Ford is as shaky as they come.

Premium Member Diesel Posted January 16, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 He broke his neck last year and he's been shaky since. I'm not talking about his ability to play.. I'm talking about his propensity to be injured.
f_town
he hasnt played all year what is he gonna offer another team?
Premium Member Diesel Posted January 16, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 Ending contracts have POWER. Teams that are trying to trim cap space will trade for an ending contract. Remember we traded SAR/THEO/Dickau for Rasheed Wallace and then we traded Rasheed for 62 players with ending contracts and a first from Detroit? Sura had not played but for us, he had value. There are some teams trying to deal some bad contracts: As the deadline approaches BK will get calls about Delk.
SmooveTheFuture
Expiring contracts always have value. Look how the Warriors got Baron Davis with Contracts of Dale Davis and speedy Claxton that was a steal. Also how the Knicks got Stephon Marbury and Penny they traded expiring contracts of Dice, Ward and few others. Hawks need to realize Al Harrington isnt worth the money hes going to be asking for. Premium Member Diesel Posted January 16, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 You bring up 2 teams that were at the point of starting over. We are not at that point anymore. We have started to acquire talent... You don't go back to starting over moves when you have started to acquire talent. Phoenix used those picks wisely and they used that capspace to acquire Nash and Q Rich. They trade for us for picks but only because they had to.
