exodus
My favorite move of JJ's is his little pull-up J off the dribble from 8-15 ft. With his ball handling ability he can get into this range fairly easily and with his size it is very tough to block. I think he actually has better form on this shot than Rip, but Rip uses it more often and his effectiveness is increased by his relentless movement. However Rip tends to have kind of a push to his shot while JJ's release is perfect. This is the shot that will be the big key for Marvin to develop. With his size and quickness he could be really tough to cover if he masters it.
Packfill
That is a nice weapon to have in the arsenal, but it would be even better if, instead of pulling up for the J, JJ took it strong to the rim. The Hawks in general need to attack the rim more, rather then relying on jump shots.
exodus
JJ doesn't have the greatest hops so he has trouble finishing at the rim when the lane is crowded. Marvin should be able to finish better if he can get stronger.
Packfill
JJ doesn't jump as high as Smoove but he does jump relatively well - he can dunk - so I don't think that is what is holding him back. Marvin , we shall see. He needs to get agressive - and it is yet to be determined whether that is in his nature or not.
SouthernBred
If JJ had the hops of Kobe, Tmac, Wade, he would be a superstar in this league. That is what make the superstars so famous, their ability to finish at the rim in traffic with acrobatic layups and thunderous dunks. Yeah, he can dunk but probably not on anybody. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Adreian Dantley, Steve Nash, Reggie Miller and countless other players are or were superstars without being great leapers. Great players are great because of their desire - that is what separates good and great.

FrontRowSun
To me.... his best move is the tear drop in the lane. I loved that move.
