WraithSentinel
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=260123001 Johnson hit 12-of-20 shots from the field, dished out six assists, came up with three steals and even had a block. He was much more effective with the return of Lue. "He takes a lot of pressure off me," Johnson said. "I don't have to bring the ball up the court." BK doesn't like to listen to the media or fans say it. Perhaps one of his players will get it through to him. JJ basically said it right there. This team need a PG. JJ seem to play better when he isn't rely on being the PG.
exodus
I think JJ would have to hit BK over the head with a hammer to make him realize the team needs a pg.
Dejay
Nope, for him to get it, BK would have to get hit over the head with a metal folding chair, a 2 by 4, a cowbell, a tire iron, and a loaded boot to realize that this bunch need a point guard. Packfill
If that is the case maybe you better change your signature to include a point guard in the starting line-up.
Moderators macdaddy Posted January 24, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted January 24, 2006 We have 3 point guards on the team and one doesn't even suit up. I'm tired of all the point guard talk. If there was one out there that was significantly better than what we have then we'd get one. We are playing right now with one player on the whole team who is taller than 6'8". This is a much more pressing need. This is why we look so awful against the Knicks, Heat, Pistons, Bucks.

Lascar78
where has john edwards been anyhow? He hasn't been at the games, not listed as injured, and I don't believe we've cut him. Anyone know?
Traceman
He is not on the injured list but his back has been hurting him for some time.
Moderators macdaddy Posted January 24, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted January 24, 2006 Excuse me 6'9"! And our 6'9" guys aren't exactly Ben Wallace. There are 3 players on the roster taller than 6'9" and only one ever plays. Edwards is out (not that he played) and Batman might as well be in street clothes. I like this kind of ball but we will get beat up by some teams this way. My point is we need bigs more than we need a middle of the road PG. Johnnybravo4
The clippers play with a 6'3 pg (Cassell), a 6'4 2 guard (Mobley), A 6'6 sf (Maggette) and a 6'8 PF (Brand) and they seem to be doing just fine. It is coaching. It would be one thing if we were getting outrebounded every night, but we aren't.
Traceman
6'8" but he weighs close to 270 lbs and he has VERY long arms. He is a tremendous shotblocker too.
exodus
Hawks are the 2nd worse defensive rebounding team in the league.
Premium Member Diesel Posted January 24, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 24, 2006 I think you have to understand that Maggette and Brand are very physical players. That's not coaching. Brand is only 6'8" but his wingspan is what 7'3"??

unknownjdb
Quote: (donta is in nbdl) Donta's doing pretty well in the D-League, I think around 15ppg, 5rpg, 3apg and 2spg on a good team. It would be nice to have that full-time starting PG to allow Ivey to go down and get REAL minutes.
