Raptors fire Rob Babcock

On RealGM, the Raptors fans seemed really pissed about that firing.

Well, I will say this..

It was at a bad time. Usually you do something that merits being fired. I think Babcock was a lame duck the whole time and he just didn't do anything recently to get fired...

Truthfully, they should have fired him this summer. They had a statement worthy of being fired.

More than likely, Toronto ownership asked Babcock what his plans were for the trade deadline in February. When Babcock answered, the owners didn't like what they heard. To me, this is the most likely reason for the timing of this firing.

i think the braves should fire john schuerholtz for trading a young jermaine dye for michael tucker and that bench second baseman (career .200 hitter) whose name escapes me now.

plus i bet we could find a good player or two who were drafted behind john schuerholtz, jr.
