exodus
That's Seatle. They are second in the league in scoring yet they are 11 games below .500 because they don't play defense. On the other hand is Indiana. Their offense is weak, averaging only 93 ppg, and they have been decimated by injuries and the Artest situation. SJax is the only starter who has been healthy, the rest have missed significant time. Yet in spite of everything they are 2 games over .500 and have won their last 3 without JO. And that is because they play defense.

exodus
I am a little curious as to why Weiss didn't play Swift.
Traceman
to mandate playing time for young guys sometimes. Coaches are likely to go with the more experienced player when they have a choice, particularly if they are expected to win NOW. I think that if Woodson had his choice, Delk would have been playing at the expense of Salim and Ivey a LONG time ago. As a result of that, Marvin and Smoove would be seeing even less time because Chillz is going to get plenty of minutes at SF.
exodus
That same line of thinking is probably why Woodson has a habit of force feeding JJ and Al at the end of games, which has frequently killed their ball movement. Salim especially wouldn't have seen many minutes if Delk had been active.
Traceman
Most coaches are going to go with the vets to a fault in crunch time and Woody is no different. I'd much rather see us share the ball in crunch time but with JJ hitting game winners in the last 2 home games don't look for it to change anytime soon.
