It would be an absolute joke to take Shelden Williams with a top three pick. I swear, sometimes I wonder if some of you would rather go back to the days of Pete Babcock drafting, where we ignored talent to go for the guy who can make the more immediate impact yet has a limited upside.

That is a mischaracterization of the Babcock era. None of his picks had an immediate impact, so you can't say he picked immediate impact over long term potential. Granted his picks lacked long term potential as well, but they certaintly did not make an immediate impact.
