Blunt91
Where is Joe Playing now? I remember him back in his UNC days. He was hyped up just about as much as Jay Williams back in the day.

thesheedera
Quote: Isn't Forte a similar player to Salim? Different player, but similar in the fact that he doesn't address our need of a point guard. Forte was the silky smooth sneaky quick combo guard who would crash the boards and could create and make any midrange shot. He was always under control and always played within the team offense concept as a guard, but he's not a poitn guard. He's about 6'3" I think, and he doesn't have the unlimited range that Salim has, but his shot selection was always good. Joe is a sad story. He showed signs of some emotional issues while at UNC, and he left school long before he was mature to handle life in the NBA. Now he's a broken man looking for a second chance, which can be a good thing sometimes. Supposedly he's been around Chapel Hill working on his game a lot mroe recently than after he initially left school, and he's hopefully mending some relationships and getting good advice in the process. He was unstoppable and clutch in his college stint, he's be a good reserve on a team that needs a combo guard with offensive firepower. But he's a risk, he isn't tall compared to shooting guards, and he definitely isn't a point guard.
