Nicholasp27
After the lakers game, we said Smoove was on a mission to prove he's more than a dunker well, we were right; he is on a mission, as he or chill mentioned recently re: snubbing of rookie/soph game so, how is his mission going? 7 games and we are 4-3 in those 7 his stats: pts/rebs/ass/steal/to/block fg ft w/l 2/15 21/15/2/1/0/3 on 6/11 and 9/11 w 2/21 10/15/5/1/3/7 on 3/9 and 4/8 l 2/22 14/5/5/2/3/1 on 6/11 and 1/2 l 2/24 9/7/7/1/0/4 on 1/6 and 7/8 w 2/25 13/11/2/1/1/5 on 4/14 and 5/8 l 2/27 19/9/5/0/2/4 on 6/12 and 7/8 w 3/1 9/9/4/1/2/7 on 3/10 and 2/2 w that averages to: 13.57ppg 10.13rpg 4.29apg 1spg 1.57to 4.43bpg 29/73 fgs 35/47 fts that's a 2.73 a/to ratio if he moves to pf full-time and really applies himself (and hopefully ups the fg%), could he be close to a 15/10/5/5 player? how many 15/10/5/5 players are there in the league? i know there are only like 11 15/5/5 players...so 15/10/5/5 (or even 15/5/5/5) is even rarer; maybe lebron and ak47? exodus
He has been nasty lately. He has really become an impact player.
thesheedera
At first glance I'm not sure if anyone has 15/10/5/5. That's a pretty unique combination of skills, no matter what each category pertains to.
Nicholasp27
yeah, nobody has 15/10/5/5 however, smoove won't be able to average 5 ass or 5 blocks but if he can get 15-20 in any combo of 3 non-point categories, that would be great best years: ak47: 8.1+4.1+2.78=14.98 lebron: 7.4+7.2+2.21=16.81 marion: 12.4+1.8+1.98=16.18 kobe: 6.9+5.9+2.21=15.01 duncan: 12.9+3.9+2.93=19.73 jermaine: 10+2.1+2.55=14.65 shaq: 13.6+3.8+3.03=20.43 big ben: 15.4+1.6+3.15=20.
ATLien_
The only player that comes to mind is Kevin Garnett, whom I consider to be the best player in the NBA. He puts up like 22/12/5/2.
Nicholasp27
yeah, i'm hoping once smoove is moved to pf full-time, he'll start saying he wants to be like kg instead of like ak kg: 13.9+5+2.17=21.07 but he doesn't do 22/10/6/5 he does 24/14/5/1.5/
Popeye
Smoove on a mission to get Bilas out of the ESPN.

Lascar78
well in all fairness Bilas doesn't get paid to be right. He gets paid to make people watch and talk about ESPN. In that regard, he's probably successful.

WraithSentinel
Is Bilas and Legler brothers? They look alike and they are both complete idiots. Perhaps they are sons of Peter Vescey.

tmac13
He basically said Soove had tons of potential and also could turn out to be a bust..Smoove had a reputation for questionable attitude and work ethic, so I don't think it was an unfair comment..It was exactly that reputation that allowed Smoove to drop far enough for us to get him at 17. Lascar78
the thing with that isn't that the comment was unfair. If it was in studio I would have been fine with it. But he said it at the draft for all to hear, including the crowd, J-Smoove and his family. It is just uncalled for to insult a man on the happiest night of his life
swolehawk2
"also could turn out to be a bust" He said that Smoove was the player in the draft that had the best chance of being a bust.

Premium Member Diesel Posted March 2, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted March 2, 2006 `Dude, Bilas said Smoove was "the biggest bust of the draft". How is that not saying something wrong?
Lascar78
He didn't say that, he said something about him having the highest potential to bust because he was all athleticism. Saying someone has potential to bust is different from saying he is / will be a bust
Premium Member Diesel Posted March 3, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted March 3, 2006 When the Hawks plucked Smith with the 17th pick in the first round, ESPN's college basketball analyst, Jay Bilas -- my co-worker Khalid swears Bilas looks like Bruce Wayne -- sat up straight and proclaimed that Smith was the player in the Draft "most likely to be a bust."
