Premium Member Diesel Posted March 13, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 We should look for trades and take either Carney or Morrison. And get either Williams (Eric) or Craig Smith in the 2nd round.

Premium Member Diesel Posted March 13, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 What I mean is that we should trade either Marvin or Chillz. Being that those are our two most valuable pieces of the logjam...
Nicholasp27
there is no logjam with marvin/chill smoove will be fulltime pf chill can get 30+ mpg at sg/sf marvin can get 30+ mpg at sf and maybe even play some backup pf as well chill gives us much needed depth and still gets to be 6th man for 30+mpg and be one of our leaders... we have al as our most valuable trade piece, plus we have a top 10 pick, plus we have andersen and maybe rmorris plus we have cap space we don't need to be hasty and lose chill/marvin at this early stage MAYBE in the future when we are tweaking our roster, but at this point we aren't tweaking, we're still building chemistry while looking for a starting pg and defensive, rebounding center

Moderators AHF Posted March 13, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 Diesel is suggesting that the strength of this draft lies at the forward position and that we should grab a forward like Morrison, etc. If we did that, how many minutes would you see available to Morrison, Gay, etc.? Premium Member Diesel Posted March 13, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 Nick has already drunk the Koolaid. He probably thinks we draft one of the forwards like Morrison or Carney and call them a C and automatically they become a C.
Nicholasp27
i wouldn't draft one of the forwards, unless it was a pf/c like aldridge/shelden/etc where we could legitimately do well with a pg/jj/marvin/smoove/draftee lineup if i drafted one of those, it'd be to trade them

CrawDaddy
Because the team's coach is a moron.
Seano
How bout we just wait and see where we end up first, before making plans on trading a pick that we have absolutely no idea where it will even fall in the lottery? You say we should take Morrison, but that's presuming we end up with at least a top 3 pick. That's a pretty massive assumption at this point, isn't it? There's no telling which way those ping pong balls will fall. We could end up #1, or we could end up #10.
