kegg66
Carlos Boozer? word is Utah wants to move him. Could be our big body to plug te middle. What would it take to get him.
jezmund
No...not worth $10 million.
kegg66
He put up 20-10 over last quarter of the season when he was healthy.
Premium Member Diesel Posted May 16, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 16, 2006 If he could pass a rigorous physical. I might consider it. I think both he and Kmart has some bad wheels. However, if he could... I would consider it.. He has what 3 years left on his present deal... He's a fine rebounder. Decent defensive player. Good low post scorer... It would clear up some of our draft plans... I mean, then the pick would come down to Roy vs. Williams.
jezmund
He has injury issues and I don't see him being much of an improvement as a defensive 4 than Josh Smith.
Packfill
You can not pick someone like Boozer up without making some other moves - i.e., where do all the forwards play.
joannes3000
If you could guarantee that Boozer would play more than 1/3 of his remaining contract games, I'd gladly deal with the increased forward glut. In fact I'd give some serious thought to the Marvin for Livingston trade that was discussed not too long ago on here.
Dragitoff
If the trade were to be for Al in a S & T, then that clears up a large part of the logjam. C-Pachulia/Draft PF-Boozer/Batista SF-Smith/Williams SG-Johnson/Childress/Slim PG-Draft/Lue/Ivey Of course, players could rotate a little differently than that, but I think that'll still give ample opportunity for Marvin and Chillz to get minutes off the bench such as when the team goes small like they did a few times last season w/ Smoove at the 5 and Williams at the 3 or when JJ is running the point w/ Chillz at the 2. joannes3000
But that doesn't clear up the logjam. You're just swapping starting 4's.
Dragitoff
Marvin still comes off the bench at the 3 and occcasionally 4 while Chillz still comes off the bench at the 2 and occasionally relieve the ballhandling duties.
DrReality
No. For the money, I'd rather have Batista, pick up Butler in FA.
