DJlaysitup
Well I know Rondo is kind of sacred around here - and I have nothing against the player...but I see no reason to look at him as the PG for a championship team 3-4 years down the road. He may turn out - he may not. There's no guarrantee there.
Moderators AHF Posted May 31, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 Quote: Does anyone remember how bad JSmoove's shot was his 1st year and much he improved this season? Who's to say Rondo won't be able to do the same thing. Having watched a lot of him, I will say that he will never be a great shooter. As a comparison, Smoove has shot a little over 70% his two years in the NBA from the FT line. Rondo has shot 58% and 57% his two years in Lexington. His shot is just very flawed right now and the size of his hands are a physical impediment to it ever improving the same way Josh Smith's shot improved over the last year. I hope I'm wrong, but I would never bet on him being a good perimeter shooter. If he was able to keep team's honest from the perimeter that would be huge progress. DrReality
So what about Simmons and Brewer? The point is we get two players instead of one.
