Chicago.. Al Harrington??

The Bulls will pursue Portland center Joel Przybilla and Atlanta’s Al Harrington in free agency.

Przybilla seems certain to get a call from the Bulls, since they lack a legitimate center. Tyson Chandler had more success at power forward in the past.

Harrington is a question mark, especially if the Bulls draft Thomas or Aldridge. The frontcourt would be crowded with the top draft pick, Luol Deng, Andres Nocioni, Chandler and possibly Przybilla.

Perhaps re-signing Darius Songaila or chasing Spurs backup center Nazr Mohammad would make more sense. The Bulls like Harrington, but he probably wouldn’t be happy in a part-time role.

This is good for us. (Although Gordon would have been nice but unlikely) The less teams with cap and a spot for Al, the less negotiating power he has.

No this is bad, because the Hawks won't have any suitors to do a sign and trade. I like Al, but the only way he fits is if the Hawks trade one of the other forwards for the needed backcourt and center help.

I thought it was good for us because the Bulls are the team with capspace enough to take him for nothing?

I'm confused...

I definitely agree with this.

It might be worse for Al, but it's better for us. If Chicago is not interested, any team that wants to get Al has to please us or else they won't get him.

NJ?

NJ is a good fit for AL but what will they give.

Orlando?

Orlando is probably the best fit for Al but what will they give?

Houston?

Houston is a fairly good fit for AL but what can they give?

N.O. ?

N.O. is a good fit too, but they have nothing to give.

LAL...

Orlando is a terrible fit. They need a shooting guard, not another forward.

Houston already has two dissappointing power forwards.

New Orleans has David West.

LAL has Odom, at least for now.

Again, if the plan all along was to resign Al long-term why draft Marvin?

Given that Turkoglu is their SF I'd say they are a reasonable destination for a S&T. I agree they wouldn't want him at PF.

That is a reason they wouldn't be interested??

Al is a SF in NO.

Al is also a SF in LA.

Unless we are planning to start Al or Josh at C, I don't think the plan is to resign Al.

I see Al as a Sf.... with a low post game.

I think he's a good fit in Orlando as long as he doesn't get in Howard's way. They need the help offensively. They have rebounding and defense covered. That makes Al a good fit.

Same can be said about LAL and N.O.

I also didn't mention Minny.
