jerrywest
Since the NBA is a guard's league now, may be we need to start thinking differently while drafting. I hope BK makes that adjustment and then make his decisions.
MoonKnight
Remember these stats Simmons put up against Duke and Williams........ "Cedric Simmons had an incredible game for NC State, finishing with a career-high 28 points, nine rebounds, seven blocks and three steals." At least all of the scouting reports mention Simmon's big motor and willingness to learn. These attributes would distinguish him from Swift. If Simmons truly measures out as 6'10" or more with a 7'4" wingspan he could easily play some 5 in today's NBA. He clearly has the body type BK drools over. It would be very interesting to see him workout against Aldridge, Williams, and O' Bryant. It is hard not to change favorites as the scouting reports come in but Simmons should clearly be on our radar.
Packfill
Lots of people have greats games every now and then. Few dominate consistently. Tony Delk scored 50 points in a game once, doesn't mean he is as good as Kobe. If Simmons is that big and athletic why did he not consistently dominate in college? In the pros his athletic advantage will be much smaller, or non-existent. Again, he is an interesting talent, with alot of upside, but he is far from a sure thing.
