rljenkins
Not too sure what they are thinking over at RGm.? 1. LaMarcus Aldridge 2. Andrea Bargnani 3. Adam Morrison 4. Rudy Gay 5. Saer Sene http://www.realgm.com/src_feature/597/2006...aft_version_40/
ATLBob
Yeah, after watching his clips, I like Sene a lot. But come on, he's not going at #5. He might garner strong consideration at #15, though.
jezmund
#5 for #12/#15 Rondo/MWilliams/Foye/SWilliams Saer Sene

Nicholasp27
obviously if they'd do that maybe if roy/aldridge falls to 5 they would
jezmund
It was 'rumored' (take it for what it's worth) that NO has already offered #12/#15 for Minnesota's #6 so no reason they wouldn't.
Nicholasp27
then no reason for us not to do that we can get one of the impressive pgs from yesterday plus a big man like obryant/sene we are bringing in obryant for a workout this week if he impresses us enough, maybe we'll do it we may also trade 15/future 2nd to seattle for #10 since seattle wants to save some money then we get obryant 10 and rondo/marcus 12 i'd be happy
Packfill
What is the difference in contracts between the 10th pick and the 15th in terms of dollars?
jezmund
Probably not much. Half a mill max I'd say.

Yeti
The question is WHY do they think the #5 is so valuable and we don't? Who do they think they are getting?
jezmund
I'd imagine New Orleans wants the remaining out of Rudy Gay and Brandon Roy. That is just my guess...
Yeti
I want Roy. If we pass on Roy for Shelden we deserve our fate.
jezmund
I want Roy, too, but he doesn't even seem to be on our radar.

exodus
Quote: The question is WHY do they think the #5 is so valuable and we don't? Who do they think they are getting? They need a 2/3 to pair with Paul. We have those positions covered. Morrison, Gay or Roy should be available at 5.

I want Roy for PG. We should not pass him up for someone marginally better than what we already have. Anyone know what's going on with Andersen? Seems like whether he comes over or not, should affect our draft stategy.
DrReality
BK said in the AJC "we have enough young players." and Sene is VERY YOUNG. Don't think it will happen. From here on out the hype goes into warp drive.
DJlaysitup
Quote: ...From here on out the hype goes into warp drive. You got that right Doc. Rumors flying all over the place and unsubstantiated BS getting deeper and deeeper. I do think there may be a move or two within the top 10 teams picking, but usually things settle down by draft night and all pretty much fall in line. The nice thing about this draft is it looks to be pretty deep with good players. It oughtta be fun to watch.
