Stop being so worried about 5 forwards in 4 years!

Shelden brings something new to the table: low post strength and defense and defensive rebounding

Let's stop worrying about who will start and who won't start

The fact is that all of the players we've gotten in the past few years have great potential and all bring DIFFERENT SKILL SETS to the team and all can get THIRTY+ mins per game if they deserve it

shelden is very different from smoove who is very different from marvin who is very different from chill who is very different from jj who is very different from slim who is very different from zaza who is very different from batman

we have LOTS of talent and potential and worse case, if the positional thing really is an issue, or the 'who gets to start' thing is really an issue, then we can make some trades...ALL of our young players are highly regarded and good trade bait...many teams draft busts in the first round that have no trade value; while u can argue that we should be selecting more with position in mind, u can't argue that our players are busts that have no value

So calm down, enjoy the ride and let's see what this summer brings us

If we bring in one of the vet pgs that woody mentioned: cassell, bjax, speedy, ?? then we should be much improved next year and be looking at 40+ wins barring injuries or chemistry issues

One quirk about the Sheldon pick is the fact that BK has previously stated that he always drafts best player available - which explains the Marvin pick last year. Why did he make the switch to need this year?

BK brought in everybody's beloved Foye. Roy snubbed the Hawks because he really wanted to be in PTL close to home.

So the bottom line is this. After seeing Foye, Rondo, and Williams up close..

as late as Yesterday, BK said, "Fans can scream for a PG all they want, but if the PGs are no good, what's the difference?"

In otherwords, he was saying that after seeing these PGs, he determined that they were not worthy of the pick.

So why are you guys still whining? Because we didn't get somebody who didn't want to be here? Somebody who may have pulled a Steve Francis and crossed the stage with his lip out..

Or because we didn't get somebody simply based on their Specs?? and not based on their ability and frankly somebody that wouldn't have solved our major problem..

Tell me. If the GM sees these PGs and say, they are no good.. Do you then Judge and banish the GM because he disagreed with Chad Ford??

BK has drafted a total of 6 forwards in the last 3 years. The Hawks still don't have a quality starting pg or c.

The only way they can address the two most difficult positions to fill is through trading one of their glut of swingmen or through free agency. I don't like their chances, especially since BK seems reluctant to part with any of his precious swingmen.

BK also drafted Royal Ivey or Chris Duhon. Passed on all the point guards in last year's draft. I don't have alot of faith in BK's ability to recognize what a good point guard looks like so that fact that he passed over Foye, Rondo, and Marcus WIlliams isn't saying sh*t to me.
