Grundy?

Are we bringing Anthony Grundy back this season? He is on our summer league roster so I am assuming we are which is good because he did a nice job for us last year. He will give us the size/speed combonation that none of our PGs have.

First of all he's got to make the team and if he does I don't think he'll get any playing time behind Claxton, Lue and Salim. I'd rather sign a FA big with potential and work with him in practice than have Grundy hogging up a spot on the roster.

Grundy was on our roster when Salim was out and now we have also signed Claxton. Not sure where he fits.

The Hawks clearly favored Ivey over Grundy. I think they like Ivey because he plays defense and doesn't turn the ball over, not sure what else he does though.

lately, it's underrated

our opps did score 3.2 points less per 100 possessions when ivey was in the game than when he wasn't...that's better than anyone else on the team...

and he didn't play garbage time either

I know. I can't help but think that there has got to be a better option of all the garbage PGs available. The Hawks are going with the devil they know rather than the devil they don't know.

Actually it was garbage time...the first 5 minutes of the first and 3rd quarters...usually don't decide anything.

Grundy can't play. He is too small to defend in the NBA. That's just the way it is.

I like what I saw from Grundy better than Ivey so I hope he does good things this summer.

Grundy is currently playing for Dallas in the Las Vegas summer league.

It's normal for a player looking for a team to play in both summer leagues.
