jezmund
He looks fabulous for Team USA. Can't wait for the season to start. Hopefully we get at least one more solid big to run with him this fall. It's crazy to me how guys like Santiago look great against players like Bosh and Howard in these competitions and then can't make it in the NBA. Also, Carlos Arroyo looks very solid. WraithSentinel
Can anyone post a clip of it? I forgot about the game tonight. I don't get NBATV anymore to see the rerun of it.
DrReality
I think it is safe to say that JJ has grown up a lot in the past year and is more prepared to be a leader for us. A sign of good things to come.

thesheedera
most likely the box score will get screwed up, but here's the link as well also great quotes from the team on the same website my guess is Bowen's the most likely guy to get dropped from the 12 - these other guys are playing hard D so his strength doesn't stand out like it usually does, and he doesn't bring you much of anything else compared to the other players the next cut is gonna be very very difficult to make...it seems like Ks been going with a small ball philosophy in the first two games (not uncommon for him), so it could be a post player, but for some reason I think its gonna be a perimeter guy that gets the hook from the 12 man team, I can't imagine that it would be Johnson, but you never know If JJ makes the team and continues to play well for the USA, I'm gonna go ahead and predict that he makes the all star team next season, even if our team is lousy and his stats are much the same as this season. http://www.usabasketball.com/seniormen/200...ition_box1.html VISITORS: Puerto Rico TOT-FG 3-PT REBOUNDS ## Player FG FGA FG FGA FT FTA OF DE TOT PF TP A TO BLK S MIN ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11 Antonio Latimer..... f 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 5 5 2 0 0 3 0 0 19 14 Carmelo Lee......... f 0 5 0 2 0 0 1 1 2 1 0 0 0 1 1 21 15 Daniel Santiago..... c 4 8 0 0 4 7 1 3 4 3 12 0 3 0 0 24 10 Elias Ayuso......... g 2 5 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 3 4 0 3 0 0 9 7 Carlos Arroyo....... g 4 10 1 4 7 8 1 2 3 3 16 2 4 0 2 25 4 Peter Ramos......... 2 5 0 0 3 6 2 4 6 3 7 0 0 0 0 18 5 Angelo Reyes........ 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 2 2 0 0 2 0 0 7 6 Roberto Hatton...... 3 6 0 0 6 7 2 1 3 2 12 0 4 0 0 16 8 Rick Apodaca........ 3 7 2 4 4 4 0 0 0 3 12 1 3 0 0 21 9 Christian Dalmau.... 1 4 0 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 3 2 2 0 0 14 12 Angel Figueroa...... 0 2 0 2 0 0 0 4 4 1 0 1 0 0 0 18 13 Manuel Narvaez...... 0 0 0 0 3 4 0 1 1 1 3 0 1 0 0 8 Totals.............. 19 53 3 14 28 37 8 24 32 26 69 6 25 1 3 200 TOTAL FG%: .358 DEADBALL 3-Pt. Plastic Man
i agree with your take on bowen. his non-defensive abilities are too limited. plus it's a whole different game than the nba. the dirty, physical defensive play (like bowen) isn't tolerated. same with the the 3-step spin moves (like wade). cyman3
looks like Johnson is a sure bet to make the team. Chris Paul had more assists himself than the whole PR team what a great unselfish PG to have on the team!

It was sickening, Walton was riding his jock the entire telecast.
