Joe Johnson on ESPN

He looks fabulous for Team USA. Can't wait for the season to start. Hopefully we get at least one more solid big to run with him this fall. It's crazy to me how guys like Santiago look great against players like Bosh and Howard in these competitions and then can't make it in the NBA. Also, Carlos Arroyo looks very solid.

most likely the box score will get screwed up, but here's the link as well

also great quotes from the team on the same website

my guess is Bowen's the most likely guy to get dropped from the 12 - these other guys are playing hard D so his strength doesn't stand out like it usually does, and he doesn't bring you much of anything else compared to the other players

the next cut is gonna be very very difficult to make...it seems like Ks been going with a small ball philosophy in the first two games (not uncommon for him), so it could be a post player, but for some reason I think its gonna be a perimeter guy that gets the hook from the 12 man team, I can't imagine that it would be Johnson, but you never know

If JJ makes the team and continues to play well for the USA, I'm gonna go ahead and predict that he makes the all star team next season, even if our team is lousy and his stats are much the same as this season.

Chris Paul had more assists himself than the whole PR team

what a great unselfish PG to have on the team!

Yeah cyman - CP3 was getting a lot of praise from coaches and announcers. He's the real deal.

He was getting abused by Carlos Arroyo. The U.S actually pulled away when CP got replaced by the Hinrich. He basically was on the bench until the 4th quarter.

Most of the praise I was talking about was in pre-game interviews -Hinrich is a really good PG too.

It was sickening, Walton was riding his jock the entire telecast. You would have thought that he avg 30pts 20 apg on 100% shooting last year

OK, OK...you're right JB...thank heavens we didn't pick the over-rated punk. I wonder who the useless piece of "c" had to bribe to get to be the starting PG for the USA basketball team after his ROY...
