It's still better than taking on a bad contract like Murphy though, and we don't really know what else was offerred exactly. I would be a lot more pissed if it's a 2008 first vs a 2007 though. If it's a 2007 1st, it's not the kind of trade that makes you happy now, it's the kind of trade that preserves your sanity next year when we have to give Phoenix our 1st but we still at least get a 1st rounder in the draft. The other possibility, looking much further ahead, is that the year the protection runs out we get a high lottery pick.
