WraithSentinel
Anyone listen to 790 today? They played an audio clip and someone mention seeing LeBron leaving the game before it was over. Wilkins called LeBron selfish because of this. I don't see this being brought up anywhere else. Exactly how much is the media and rest of the league sucking upto this guy?
Premium Member Diesel Posted November 8, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 8, 2006 For that reason I hope we lay the big smack down on Lebron everytime we play Cleveland. Expose his selfishness. I think he's more akin to Kobe than to Jordan.
Premium Member Sothron Posted November 8, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 8, 2006 I remember a game where Favre walked off the field with like 12 seconds left and no one said anything about it until the week after when people brought it up. Why was Randy Moss nailed to a cross and Favre let off the hook?
lifelong
It's all about how you treat the media. If you're a saint but aren't accommodating to the media you will be hung out to dry and vice versa.
thesheedera
Because Moss had a prior reputation. Favre was one of the league's golden boys. LeBron is the NBA's golden boy now. It will take a lot more than what he did last night to cause him any problems.

Yeah...LeBron was on "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart...that'll get him a couple calls a game right there .
AzHawksFan
Dan Patrick talked about this today with Mike Wilbon on Patrick's radio show. They really slammed Lebron for it. They said if he's supposed to be the guy that carries the NBA into the next millenium, he can't do stuff like that.
Moderators macdaddy Posted November 8, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted November 8, 2006 I didn't see it but I thought he walked off why we were just holding the ball waiting for the last seconds to tick off. It doesn't seem like a big deal. Usually the benches are up by then. Did anyone notice it on tv?
IonSen88
That was our official radio broadcaster that mentioned it, and it aggrevated me. He thinks losing and getting his brains beat-in in overtime is a reason to walk off the court; it isn't.
