Final_quest
Well, I've been an Iguodala supporter as well, but it's hard to call someone a bad drafter when the stats are so close. Bad drafters draft busts, not marginally comparable players.

Gray Mule
{Sometimes the old man hits the wrong button} Guess Hawks will just have to keep Childress for a while! I like him. So what if his shot looks terrible when it leaves his hands. It sure looks nice when it's "Nothing but net!" when it goes in!! Even his free throws look funny, I guess. Results is what REALLY matters. Someone compared Chill to my favorite non Hawk, Battier. I'd still like to have him in a Hawk's uniform. Don't know where or how he would fit in, but I just like the guy. He may not be the greatest, but he plays to win. The same can be said for Josh C. Some posters worry about what Hawks will do in two or three years. Right now, let's worry about Michael Redd. He and his mates are coming tonight. We need a win!! GO HAWKS !!!!! skyhawk
Quote: I'm glad that Childress is doing well but I'm sticking to my guns; I'd have taken Iguodala or Deng, period. I've said that for close to three years now. I would've been proven wrong (not the first time) if the other two were struggling while Childress was playing lights out basketball but the fact remains that the other two are putting up similar, if not better numbers while having fewer opportunities to shine (wanna compare getting the ball from JJ to trying to pry it from Iverson or Webber's hands? The defense rests) so 'Iggy, Deng, who' one-liners holds no water. Stats aren't the only measure of player's contritubion, regardless of the sport, in terms of assessing that players true value to his/her team. People continue to ignore the intangibles that Childress brings to the team- basketball smarts, unselfishness, leadership, desire, hustle and attitude. You need players like this to win. Sure you need stars and guys who put up stats - but you don't win with 5 stars on a team. I'm not taking anything away from Deng or Iggy but I don't think their 'intangible' contribution would be on the level of Josh's.
