A word about Zaza...

Did you guys know that Zaza was a top 10 Center?

Statistically...

He's #5 in Scoring.

#11 in rebounds.

#9 in overall effenciency.

I think that should give him some moneygravy in terms of value.

I am on my new kick to get Chris Kaman. I think now is the time:

Zaza/Speedy/#12 for Kaman/#17.

Zaza has been playing better offensively the last few weeks. He isn't throwing up as many garbage shots and is doing a better job taking his time underneath, waiting for the defense to commit before shooting. He has been shooting a much higher percentage lately.

Of course he still sucks on defense but oh well.

His post moves are starting to look like, well, post moves, instead of flopping. I actually have hope that he can become a consistent post threat over the next couple of seasons.

No one questioned how nice he is as a backup big man with some offensive skills but he is just atrocious doesn't even cover it really on defense. Adamn Keefe and Koncrap were better on defense than Zaza is.

I wouldn't mind getting Kaman, he had a down year this past year that I think was an aberration more than anything else.

I think Zaza is doing very well when you consider how young he is. He's no 31 year old Center who has 9 years in the league. He's young Vlade. I say send him to a big man camp to work on his defensive footwork. Send Josh Smith, Solomon, and Shelden too.

A dominant big man inside, Zaza isn't.

Hops? Nope. Leg strength needs to be his target to work

on this off season - That and learning how to jump, which

is related to his leg strength.

He's learning, as already stated, to play inside better.

His handles seem to be improving some. That could use

more work.

To me, his greatest asset on defense is his quick hands.

He'll pick your pocket if you aren't careful. He steals

the ball and leaves the opponent wondering what happened!

If Zaza was an old vet, on his way down, there wouldn't be

much hope for improvement, but he's still young and he

can improve. He's proven that this year. As for him

flopping, he's worked on that part of his game and, as

much as we complain about it, he gets to the line AND

knocks down the free throws - - Can't complain too much

when that happens! Also, someone gets the foul called

on them when this happens - - So it's not all bad.

I do - I think he sucks...he should be playing for a 2nd tier team in Europe. Offensive skills my arse...lower the shoulder and hope?

He's not up to NBA calibre at all IMO. Another BK disaster.

Is there any player on the team that doesn't suck according to you?

I know I've a big Zaza critic but to say he's not even good for a backup is a little ridiculus. He would clearly be one of the best backup big men in the league.
