GST
Our season ends Tuesday night, with league's regular season ending Wednesday night. With that said, when will Woodson get the ax? I am going on record for 11 AM Thursday, 4/19.
Premium Member AtLaS Posted April 15, 2007 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 15, 2007 Honestly, I don't think Woodson gets fired, as sad as that is.
GST
I think as long as their hands are not tied by the lawsuit, they (the owners) will fire him. It seemed to me that Levenson and Mullin have hinted in their public comments that their patience with Woody was starting to run thin.
Premium Member AtLaS Posted April 15, 2007 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 15, 2007 I don't know, judging by their responses to criticism by e-mail from fans on this site, they seem to put alot of the blame on injuries, and really seem to back Woodson. I really hope I'm wrong though.
pimp
I agree, i think Woody is staying. The ASG will do whatever Bk wants them to do. And Bk is not going to fire his longtime buddy Woody. And the ASG can't fire BK, because else could they hire?? If you were a coach or gm, would come to atlanta, when there is a chance Belkin could get the team and fire you? We are stuck with these bums for a while.
Gray Mule
Belkin would agree to fire both of them. BUT, the real problem would then be, who would the owners all agree on to replace them? You can just imagine that whoever one side wanted, the other side would object and it would probably be some judge appointed by Belkin, who would decide. Simple solution - Either keep what we have or let Belkin hire the manager and GM. If he don't get who he wants, bet on it ending up in court. So, as the saying goes, "We're between a rock and a hard place." No one is going any place.
TheNorthCydeRises
That's a good point Gray. Until this ownership mess is solved, I'm sure that Belkin will try to get in the way of just about everything he has a small say over. If they fire Woody, they better have a competent replacement in mind, and not just some guy that wants an NBA job, without all of the NBA hassles. A vet coach would be a nice fit for us. Too bad we can't talk Hubie Brown out of retirement.
