No it's not, Marvin only played like 22 mpg in college. He played 34 this year, so he's actually playing worse from a PER standpoint. His FG% is also much lower, he doesn't rebound or pass, and all he can do is shoot. And he's not even that good a shooter, he still can't shoot 3's in the pros..

Well said. We passed up NBA ready franchise points guards in Deron, Paul and Felton for this "project" who was so good in college he didn't even start. Great call BK!

Well then, please make me an argument as to why Marvin's PER didn't increase from his rookie year to this year. These Marvin supporters are digging..

He did that for the season at 20 years of age after a slow start coming off a hand injury. He averaged 17/6/2 in April on 46% shooting and he averaged 19/6/2 in his last 5 games on 52% shooting.

Marvin was not the right pick for us over Paul and Williams but he is still going to be a VERY good player in this league and a lot better than 13-17ppg/5-7 rbg.
