LastDon
NBA TV broadcast the CBA finals this year and Yi was on one of the teams. He is a very athletic player in the mode of Rashard Lewis. I think offensively he is NBA Ready but I question his ability to defend. He can shoot the chinese 3, drive and post. I think he is definitely a 3. I like his game but he is just another 3. HE IS NOT THE PLAYER FOR US!!!!!!!!!
Packfill
Thanks for the report. If he is a perimeter player then I totally agree that he does not fit the bill for the Hawks.
TexasPete
I read a blurb about him on Hoopshype and it said the same thing. BK may try to fit a square peg into a round hole again. With him you learn to expect it.
Gray Mule
TexasPete - You're so right. Expect the unexpected from him. If he gets it right this time, THAT would be an unexpected shock, wouldn't it!!
LastDon
Durant better stay away from workouts with this guy because he would give him alot of problems because of his overall skill level for a 7 footer. However there are some questions about his age if he is 19 as some draft sites say I like him better than Durant because he has played proffessionally and nationally. Traceman
Yi might help himself by going up against Durant but he Durant is going #2. Durant's body of work is well established and he is the real deal. Yi might actually get exposed going up against Durant and LOSE value.

Yeti
Sounds like Yi may be EXACTLY what BK wants. Another SF, but one who is tall and BK can say he is a center and can play some PF. Fits the pattern. (Except Woody hates international players.)
