Those "cheapy blocks" are actually how the Jazz play defense.

It's how the Florida Gators actually played defense.

You have two guys who can compliment each other with weakside shot blocking and it's so much easier than only having one guy who can provide this.

Well Al Harrington isn't nearly as good a weakside shot blocker as Josh Smith who is arguably the best in the game.

And chances are Yi is much better as well with his wing span and athleticism.

But he couldn't return the favor when somebody got by his teammates man.

That's why it only works when two people can do it. And you can't let the guy get totally by either.

For instance, a guy is trying to face up against Horford. Horford puts a body on him and Noah comes over for the weakside shot block.

OR

A guy tries to bang down low with Noah and Noah puts a body on him and Horford comes over for the weakside shot block.

It doesn't work if the team knows only one guy can give help defensively.
