Dragitoff
The money does work for that so it's plausible. I agree on the posturing comments as well. I think for Memphis to have both the #3 and #4 picks in this deep draft are pretty amazing. If you're Portland, would you trade the #1 pick for the #3/#4 pick in this draft? Memphis would have their franchise big man and Portland could still draft for a great, great team.
Premium Member Diesel Posted June 13, 2007 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 13, 2007 I think getting PTL involved would do it: PTL gets Marvin, Lo, AJ, Lue. Memphis gets Zach Randolph, #52. Atlanta gets Gasol. Randolph is a more Physical post presence than Gasol. This is a perfect trade for everyone. PTL gets rid of Randolph and picks up Marvin and Cap Savers. Memphis gets rid of disgruntled Gasol and get a top notch PF. Atlanta gets Gasol!!
DrReality
He said that while he's out of the country? That's kind of chick sh!t. Gotta be tough becasue Mfs is a franchise in transition and making any deals could be difficult.
Dejay
Quote: Quote: Next time Gasol goes to talk with his new boss at his office. He should act a fool, and throws some chairs, tip-over some trash canS , and knock all the papers off of his Desk. That way the Grizz will lower the price for Gasol, so the can get rid of him ASAP. Wasn't it Willie Randolph the old Mets manager who had that kind of a tirade at reporters? It was hilarious. Nah, that was Hal McRae of the Royals who ripped out the phone and went nuts. Anyway, if the price isn't too steep (i.e. giving up both picks and/or JJ/Smith), go for the guy who we KNOW can get 20/10 and not the guy who we HOPE to get 20/10.
