Premium Member Diesel Posted June 21, 2007 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 21, 2007 I think we can remake the team a little with a few good trades... Here's How I would play it: Marvin for Miller, 12, 21. I would package #12, Chillz, Zaza, and a future first 2010 for Gasol. Then... #3 = Yi. #11 = Critt. #21 = Morris Almond. Gasol, Yi, Smoove, JJ, and Miller. Lo, Solomon, Shelden, Almond, Salim, Speedy and Critt off the bench.

Also, don't you highly doubt that we could get Gasol that easily?
Premium Member Diesel Posted June 21, 2007 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted June 21, 2007 I think Iggy is a SG. Marvin is the prototypical SF. Something that they really don't have with Korver. The other thing is that Miller is on the downside of his career... For me it's this simple.. If Philly picks, they will probably take Thad Young or a falling Green. Neither is better than Marvin.
bfwolf
Marvin for Miller, #12, and #21???? Why not have them throw in Iggy too as long as you are in fantasy land? Getting the #12 and #21 for Marvin would be a coup in and of itself.
DavidSomerset
I think if you change the #12 pick in the Gasol trade to the #3, that trade gets done...eventually. Then we could take Crit at 11, Thad/Jeff Green/ Julian Wright at 12 and Splitter at 21. We would have to include Lue, Speedy or AJ in the Philly trade... Then we'd have: Miller/Crit JJ/Salim Wright/??? Smoove/Splitter Gasol/Shelden/Solo Who would back up SF?
frosgrim
That is a nice team. We'd have to get a FA for a back-up 3. Kapano would be a good choice for outside shooting, but his other skills are pretty weak.
atlien110
i think the excitement of the draft and the hawks future have made a few of us a little kookoo. marvin's stock isnt' that high. he hasnt' really accomplished a damn thing since he's been in the league. he's still got some upside, but i think realistically philly would only give up #12 for marvin. sad? reality. Second, you are not getting Miller, 12 & 21 for Marvin. Way too much value Philly is giving up for a player who has failed to live up to his potential as of yet. Miler had a great year for the Sixers, the fans and the coaches loved him, and he has a reasonable salary with 2 years remaining. Additionally, who would the Sixers have play point? You just had them trade away their top two picks and their starting PG. Sure they filled their SF - but you left them empty at PG

bfwolf
No good players at #12? Hardly. There's going to be a guy like Jeff Green or Al Thornton there that I would take in a heartbeat over Marvin.
