KB21
With the news that the Hawks aren't letting their assistant coaches take other jobs, particularly Larry Drew who would be getting closer to his son Larry Drew Jr. if he was allowed to leave for Sacramento, I can only think one thing - this ownership fiasco needs to be resolved ASAP. It's getting to the point that I feel David Stern simply needs to step in and tell both sides that if they can't come to a decision in a certain time period, then he will make the decision for them....as in forcing both sides to sell the team to another party. As much as I like Michael Gearon Jr. and company, I'd settle for the NBA running the franchise for a year while the team is being sold. Surely there is a local real estate magnate or something that would be interested in buying the team.
Gray Mule
Is this any way to run a business? How can it be a success with the owners failing to agree on anything? Becoming the butt of jokes all over the NBA because of all this, it's drug on much too long. Time for someone to step up and say, enough is enough. The lawyers and a judge or judges can carry on for years and years, as long as there is money to be sucked out of the deal. Both sides want to be the sole owners of the entire thing. They won't give an inch. The NBA is the only solution. Step in and force the issue. Take over the entire operation - The NHL would have to become involved, too. It's a complicated mess. Packfill
This is by far the worst ownership situation in professional sporting history. Total embarassment to the city and franchise.
TheDude
does anyone have an email for Stern? (as if he'd actually read it)

I have never heard of any pro sports team being told by a judge what they can and can not do in terms of players, contracts, trades and a salary cap. WraithSentinel
What make this even worse is our legal system. This thing is going to drag on for another 5-10 years at least with stupid appeals.
