Simple reason why coaches can't leave.

Is it that we can't replace the loss Money that we would lose paying the coaches??

Or

Is it that we probably can't find any other assistants?

I think the remedy is easy...

1. Have them renounce their contract...

2. Let them go.

3. Find somebody who will assistant Coach for this one year.

I think 3 is the problem. I think Woody and Co. are gone after this year. Still, they can't easily replace those guys if they were to be fired now..

That means that Woody and BK may have jobs until the resolution comes.

I wonder if the rumblings of Lenny coming is playing some role?

If they leave for another job and sign a new contract they would be renounciing their contract with Atlanta already ? right ?

If Atlanta fired them / Atlanta would have to pay. However, Atlanta would not be firing them, we would simply be releasing them of the contract at their request which also means we no longer have to pay on the contract.

I think the reason it was done is option #2. " We can't find other assistants given our ownership battles in court."

Shrewd move that is not in the best interest of 2 individuals but in the best interest of the Atlanta Hawk Franchise.
