I think it is pretty obvious that with the way things are developing, those 6 guys (Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams, Josh Smith, Josh Childress, Al Horford, and Acie Law) will be the big minute guys on the team. All may not start, but they will play the majority of the minutes.

Speedy, Zaza, and Shelden will round out the top 9 in the rotation. I'd really like to see Salim Stoudamire step up and become the 10th man in the rotation, but it's going to be tough. Anthony Johnson is probably the 10th man right now.

Actually I think alot of it is about who is a step or so in front of the other and the camera angle. Marvin is ahead of JChillz and looks considerably taller (more than he really is). JC is about a half step in front of Marvin and looks a teeney bit taller than him (but I don't think he is - likely the other way around). Horford is a couple steps ahead and looks WAY taller than both Marvin and JS...when it's likely only an inch or so.

Marvin is 6'7 without shoes and Childress measured 6'5 1/2 at the combine. I don't know why the NBA gave them an extra inch or so with shoes on.

Yeah...I'm no camera angle specialist. But if the camera was centered on the line (say directly facing JS who is in the middle - it would give a better measurement. Whoever is closest to the camera looks bigger.

I think MW is probably a quarter step ahead of JC and is closer to the camera so he will look a wee bit bigger. That's not to say that MW isn't appreciably taller than JC - only that it looks like a little more in that picture.

Law looks to be a full step behind but is closer to the camera so it isn't as noticeable. Horford...being ahead of all of them and closest to the camera looks like a monster...comparatively.

That isn't what I was saying. Josh Smith measured 6'8 in shoes and also so did Marvin. When they made the Hawks roster they mysteriously grew another inch. Childress was 6'7 in college and now he is 6'8.

Marvin and Josh were 18(and now both are 21) when those measurements came out....I don't think it's that big of a stretch to think that they grew an inch between that time period(I'm pretty sure Josh has).

Not really responding or adding anything insightful, but fwiw Marvin was listed as 6'9" in hs and as a freshman in college.
