TexasPete
Lue gets so badly abused on defense its hard to have to on the court at times. He is a train wreck on defense and he dribbles down the clock which hurts our flow. He was great for helping us the last couple of years but his time is nearing an end in ATL...barring injury. And if Lue plays big minutes we are in trouble.
exodus
Quote: He came into the game under control. He was money from the floor, he played good defense... Woody, this is what happens when you actually play to your team's talent! Now don't let him get 10 DNP's the next 2 weeks. He definitely played the right way tonight. And his points came when we really needed them.
BusBoyIsBack
Kudos to Woodhead for putting him in the game. What a shocker that was. Honestly he can't be a worse PG than Lue How much worse defense could he play than Lue? How much worse could he be at sharing the basketball? He's certainly a better shooter. He could be our poor man's Acie Law
jerrywest
Quote: Kudos to Woodhead for putting him in the game. They are doing a lot of adjustments the massage boards are talking about. I have a feeling someone higher up keeps an eye on squawk/ajc/realgm message boards.
bumpyphish1
Amen!!! He needs to skip Lue on the depth chart!
bumpyphish1
Quote: You have to admit that the Salim we saw tonight was a different fella from the Salim we've seen most of his young career. No. I don't have to admit that. You, like Woody, obviously did not see games clearly last year. Salim always brings that energy.
bumpyphish1
Quote: Salim is a streak shooter esp. from 3, he goes from nailing them for a stretch to air balls. Lue is just a flat out high % 3 point shooter. Check the stats man, they dont lie. What an idiotic statement. The fact that all Lue's 3's come from a set position and only when he has ALL the time in the world, while Salim can get his shot off on anybody and often fades/leans/"Salims" all over while nailing shots. That doesn't show up in those "they dont lie" stats either, BUDDY and sorry for the repetitive posts, I am just back from the game, a little drunk, and not in the best state of mind of grammatical functions.
