Why was the "passive" Marvin the go to guy

One thing Marvin did a very good job of last night that doesn't show up on a stat sheet is poking the ball free from an opponent without fouling. He did that about 4-5 different times, including once where he saved a basket just as effectively as if he had gone airborn and swatted the ball into the stands.

Also how he almost stole the ball diving on the floor and they had to throw the ball up to beat the shot clock. Missed shot. As good as a steal. Never seen him hustle like last night. I can't believe the game was close with Marvin, Horford and Smith playing like gangbusters.

It wouldn't have been close if we would have played in the 3rd quarter like we did in the first, second or fourth quarters.

Probably more effectively, since swatting into the stands gives the ball back to the other team.

You are such a hater.
