Hawks foul shooting

This year the Hawks have taken 112 more foul shots than their opponents and are shooting 77.4%, 8th in the league. That is pretty good for such a young team.

JJ and Smith have been shooting better so far. Not having Speedy in the lineup has certainly helped.

While the half court offense has been a mixed bag they have been doing a good job at the line and that is something that can be done consistently night in and night out.

Only one team in the league makes more fts than the Hawks. That is Denver and they make only .2 more per game.

Last year we were a jump shooting team that couldn't shoot. Now, instead of forced bricks, we are getting points at the line.

I bet if you check Chicago's numbers, they had probably shot a lot more free throws at this time last year. Look at them now.
