Admin
and it was good to see for a change. I think the Hawks are starting to earn respect around the league for their hustle and playing the game the right way. There were numerous calls that very easily could have, maybe should have, gone the other way but the refs called them in our favor. That series of calls at the end before the ejections with AJ and AI were huge for us and we got a major break with the first one being a non-call since AJ clearly pushed AI. Premium Member Atlantaholic Posted January 16, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 I don't remember us ever getting calls like that. I couldn't believe my eyes... You'd think we were the Heat or something judging by the officiating.
WraithSentinel
Hawks might have got some calls going their way. I can only go by the boxscore. It look like the Hawks won this game anyways because they played team ball and shot the ball well. I expect us to get some BS calls soon enough. swolehawk2
We are not earning any respect from the refs, nba officiating is just horrible. We just had a night where it worked to our favor. If that was a carry on AJ then AI and Melo wouln't be able to dribble. AJ clearly pushed AI, but that goofball was sleep walking and missed the play. That loose ball foul on Marvin where him and Melo where battling was just BS.
Premium Member hawkman Posted January 16, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 I completely understand why AI went off at the end. I hate bad calls PERIOD as I feel it cheapens the game. The officiating was pretty ragged tonight. It was nice to see those type of calls go against the opposing team for a change. It still doesn't make up for all of the times we got screwed.
Dexmethylphenidate
We're at home. Refs usually lean toward home team.
