How many home wins will it take?

Hawks are horrible on the road. It is going to take them winning at home just to even sniff a chance at the playoffs. How many wins at home will it take just to be in position to perhaps make the playoffs?

I will say at least 30 wins.

25 wins @ home

. . but we'll have to somehow win 14 to 16 road games. We're 5 - 11 on the road right now, so that means we just have to go at least 9 - 16 the rest of the way. At home, we'll have to go 13 - 8 the rest of the year @ home.

If we continue to play this way on the road our season will, at best, conclude in a first round embarrassment at the hand of the Celts, or Pistons. I'd rather think about ways to improve our road record (perhaps resting JJ more so that he has fresher legs) than think about how many home games we will need to win to "luck" our way into the playoffs.

The following five games (after the Monday game) are key in my opinion. We go 0-5 or 1-4 and we are back in the pack looking up.

I think most people would agree with you. Judging by how JJ looks out there sometimes and by looking at how his scoring numbers go up consistently depending on how many more days of rest he gets in between games... I think cutting down JJ's minutes is an obvious necessity... He is a totally different player when he is fresh, and I think his conditioning is not at 100% after his long layoff at the end of last season.

I've been saying this all year, but I will reiterate... Would it kill us to up Mario's playing time by 6 minutes or so and give JJ 6-7 more minutes rest a night???
