Admin
Way to go get him Smoove!! His fast break layup blocks are the most exciting thing in the NBA in my opinion.
TheNorthCydeRises
What a great block by Smoove to start that break, then JJ gets the and-1. That was essentially a 5 point play by Smoove. Hawks up 15. Excellent half. Excellent defense.
exodus
Quote: Is "the closer" dressed? He was until he got undressed by Sergio blowing right past him. So lame but at least Woody pulled him. Portland relies heavily on their jump shots and tonight they aren't falling so far. They don't get many easy points on fast breaks or from the line. If our offense doesn't fall apart in the second half this should be a much needed victory.
TheNorthCydeRises
As long as this team is defending like this, I have no problem with them running. For once, I'd love for the Hawks to actually extend on a big lead like this, and not let the other team back into the game. Just one time.

thesheedera
Quote: Blake is a good passng PG, but a notoriously streaky shooter. Tonight, he's definitely off. Man the Hawks defense looks great tonight. Very solid and active D, and 16 assists in the first half. Now we gotta sustain the runs that you gotta expect from the Blazers in the 2nd half. LOVE seeing Al hit that jumper.
TheNorthCydeRises
oooooooo . . nice alley from AJ to Marvin. Portland went to zone, and that was wide open.

And definitely looked like a set play coming out of the TO. A nice change from the typical routine.
Admin
with his lock down D, just like he did on him in Atlanta last week. If Portland doesn't starting knocking down their outside shots we should win this game fairly comfortably. I would love to see us finally break 100 on the road. I think we have the longest active non-100 road game streak in the league right now.

TheNorthCydeRises
Oh well . . so much for extending the lead. Potential danger time here to open the 4th, if Lue comes into this game. We need to execute offensively to start this quarter. If JJ rests, who will step up offensively?

Admin
Yep you're right about that, we hit 100 right on the head. I turned the game off before it was over since it was already over and never looked at the final score. Let's do it in a win tonight!

TheTruth
Ok Woody, it is time to take Pachulia out now. He has looked good, but the Blazers are going at him and now the lead is down to 8 again. Insert Horford.
TheNorthCydeRises
Whoa . . big shot by AJ. Might be the shot of the game. Zaza and Acie gave us good minutes tonight. Not too may complaints about them tonight. OK guys, let's close this out. LOL @ outlaw, thinking he's an all-star again.
TheNorthCydeRises
Gotta hand it to Portland. They're a mentally tough ballclub. This might come down to if we can hit our FTs. Well played and coached game by both sides so far. Lead down to 5.
killa3312
Where the hell did Al go? He's still stuck on 11 rebounds?
