Philadelphia (18-29) is coming off a 2 point loss to Orlando. Both teams score and allow virtually the same amount of points. The Hawks are 13-9 at home. The Sixers are 4-6 over their last 10 games while the Hawks are 3-7 over that same stretch. This game means a little more to the Hawks as they are still in the Eastern Conference Playoff hunt. gsuteke
My Monday morning paper said the Hawks are favored by 5 in this game. Any thoughts?
DJ_Money
Last time we beat the Sixers, they fired their GM the next day, who also had the initials BK. Can we flip that this time? Since the ATL Spirit is still in control, we might as well try and win this one. Looking at the box score from the earlier meeting... Acie went 0-8, but had 5 boards and 5 assists. Horford had a double-double. Smoove had 22/7/6/4. The thing that sticks out from that game...26 assists, 12 TOs. Move the ball, get easy buckets in transition, etc., etc. ...and get Smoove to do this again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmGtbUGPv68
gsuteke
The Sixers are giving up in the neighborhood of 94 pts a game. I wonder how they do in transition.
exodus
The Sixers might be the only team in the league that shoots worse than us from the perimeter. We should definitely take this game.

thesheedera
you just opened my eyes to a whole new realm of the ajc sports section. How do you get there from the regualr sports pages? That kind of felt like going into Malkovich's head via the half floor portal.

DJlaysitup
Wow - thought it started at 7:30 - big dunk there - 26 to 9. Lordy!
dalamchops
Hawks would even suck at playing street ball. I bet i can drive and make a layup on them tonight too. There has been no effort to challenge anybody driving to the lane.
killa3312
The Hawks are treating Dalembert like he's Bill Russell in his prime or something. Stop with the weak sissy crap and go at him.
DJlaysitup
Luckily Philly isn't a smart team - they should have had that layup - ooops there goes another dunk! This is unfair! they have like 7 guys rebounding against us!

oiatlhawksfan
Horrible start, if we can just slow them down, the only way they can score is on the fastbreak.
DJlaysitup
Well we "got it back" to 32-14 LOL. As Bob said - layup-dunk-layup-dunk. The kid from Gwinnett County looks pretty good. They only beat us 23-5 on the boards in the 1st.
