The Detroit News -

Dale Davis is very close to officially becoming a member of the Pistons, according to the Detroit News.

After waiving Flip Murray it was widely believed that Joe Dumars would like to sign Davis, who hasn't played all season.

The News has reported that Davis has agreed to the prorated veteran's minimum and that his signing is pending a physical

He wasn't someone that I really wanted the Hawks to sign but he would have helped. We will probably let Magloire pass by as well.

I read yesterday morning about Detroit was looking at Davis and Magloire. I guess they wanted Dale more.

I havent seen anything printed about Magloire yet but alot of teams message boards feel they need him. I imagine alot of teams will be after including Dallas. Cuban will prolly work some kind of deal out with him. Its funny cause alot of fans of other teams feel he is almost a lock to go to Dallas.

Or maybe Magloire wanted to play here instead?? ... has he signed with anyone yet? I'm still holding out hope that we sign PJ though.

I think guys like PJ and Magloire will be more interested in signing with teams that are more of a sure thing to make the playoffs and advance beyond the first round.
