Admin
He has made a few nice back to the basket moves and is looking great on his jumper out fairly deep. Still not taking his man off the dribble but other than that his offense is looking much better.
exodus
Considering how bad the shooting was tonight he should have gotten more than 9 rebounds. Houston got 22 offensive rebounds, 6 from Scola and 6 from Hayes. Some of that has to fall on Horford. His defensive rebounding has fallen off a lot lately. Admin
A lot of that was due to the fact that Smoove was rebounding like a mad man
exodus
That didn't stop Houston from getting 22 offensive rebounds. Horfords defensive rebounding has been slumping for awhile.
Admin
Houston is a great offensive rebounding team and they have 4-5 guys even without Yao that can rebound really well. I'm not worried about Al, I think it's more about fatigue. Since the trade all he has had is Zaza to play behind him and if either Z or Smoove gets into foul trouble Al can't get any rest. There is going to have to be a tough decision this offseason because I honestly can't see us ever being a contender playing Al at the 5. It's obvious that he can't play that night in and night out without getting worn down.
Nicholasp27
Quote: Horfords defensive rebounding has been slumping for awhile. last 10 games: 6.6 defensive rebounds/game (brought down by 1 bad rebounding game) in december: 6.25/game sounds like a slump to me!! Actually it is since he averaged 7.4 for 2 months. Smith is averaging 6.2 defensive rebounds per game on the season, Horford 6.8.
