Premium Member Diesel Posted April 20, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 20, 2008 Specific question here. In this draft, Shan Foster (vandy) might not be drafted. If so.... Who would you rather pick up for next season: Foster or Jeremy Richardson. I asked for TN Hawks fans because hopefully they have watched Foster play. SEC fans are welcome too chip in... harry0569
I would much rather have Shan, he's long at 6'6 and cant shoot threes like no other. Unfortunately for us, every major mock draft I have looked at it has him drafted in the 2nd round.
TheNorthCydeRises
Yeah i rather have Shan, because I think he can defend a little better than Richardson. J-Rich is virtually clueless on D. At best, I see Shan being a Wesley Person-like player. He's one dimensional though. Don't expect him to be able to do anything else but shoot the 18 - 25 foot jumper. JJFAN4LF
I think Richardson is better. I think with the right coach and the right system, he can play in the NBA. I don't think I can see Shan Foster even dominating in the D-league like Jeremy Richardson did.
TheNorthCydeRises
I agree that Shan couldn't dominate the D-League like Jeremy could. Jeremy's overall offensive game is better than Shan's. But people have to keep in mind that ATL isn't the only place Jeremy has played. He's been with Portland and San Antonio as well. That means he's been under some good coaching. So that also means that Jeremy has a MAJOR flaw in his game. And that flaw is on the defensive end of the court. That's the main reason why he doesn't play for us.
