Premium Member Diesel Posted July 18, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 18, 2003 I'd feel better with Porter over Benjamin because I think Porter has a future as a good defensive player/rebounder/Scorer. I like Benjamin but we have a lot of gaurds in your configuration.
swolehawk2
I think we need a proven swing man (Lucious Harris, Jim Jackson, Walt Williams) type player....but not sure we can afford one. Do you think we need another PF of C?
Premium Member Diesel Posted July 18, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 18, 2003 Not really. I mean, I am concerned about Nazr's ability to play this season, but Hendu. Hendu is 6'10 and about 240. He plays C well especially if we go uptempo. Plus we're paying him about 8 million dollars so we might as well get our money's worth. BUT, if we were to trade Theo... And I advocate: Theo/Grob/CC for Anderson/Wallace.... Then I think we'd need to get a guy like Elden Campbell with the MCE. Campbell/Reef/Sheed/Anderson/JT... Now that's a team that can do some work in the East.
Gray Mule
Hopefully DerMarr Johnson will re-sign with the Hawks. Neuble apparently will not return, so says the A.J.C. in today's edition. If healthy, Hawks will be all right, not great, just all right. Diaw & Hansen should both be good additions to the team. Somewhere, some how, Hawks still need a BIG man to come in off the bench and clog up things when the going gets rough. Right now, and for the past several years we haven't had this. An old guy, past his prime, wanting to play a few more years or some rookie who just wants to be a real part of the team will do nicely. Play 15-20 minutes per game, at most. #11 or #12 on the roster, but someone who can come in and rebound, handle the rough stuff and be a real force for a short period of time. Guest
I still think Anthony Peeler for the league min is a good option. He's a vet that can hit the three.
