Number of posts per page

Dolfan, can you please lower the number of the posts per page in each topic? Some topics go on forever, and it takes forever to load because it's loading all the posts. This is ridiculous man. Max, in my opinion anyways, should be no more than 15 posts.

I see an option in my display preferences but those don't work for me.
